  1. Thank you Roger, you always have some nice things to say. It's very encouraging. I recently got a delivery from China. Parts for 3 locomotives. I shall be painting them and post pictures here whenever possible. Cheers

  3. I'm back after a while....Here's some more CAD images. Indian Railway C-type BG Box Car /media/tinymce_upload/446aab19c54d1ef2161a7ac06ddb3454.jpg /media/tinymce_upload/3de82b80697317dd860172cd4b76c35c.jpg More stuff to follow soon.... This C-type wagon will be done in 1:87 scale and 1:76 scale for one of my customers.
  4. This is now official news from Hornby, the R1230 GWR HST Train Set and R3608 BR Blue HST Train Pack will both utilize the ex-Lima tooling.
  5. 50007 Hercules and 50049 Defiance from the Class 50 Alliance fleet will be repainted into GB Railfreight livery. They will be available for spot-hire work and will be used for convoys to galas and railtours. 50007 moves for its repaint at Eastleigh Works today, and the pair make their debut on Pathfinder's Terminator 2 charter on March 23. https://www.facebook.com/Railmagazine/photos/a.177925425633621/2110820895677388/?type=3&theater /media/tinymce_upload/0e16a68bf1d29ae7ee410a20a8e4d4f3.jpg
  6. GWR HST Train Set (showing older Hornby tooling) /media/tinymce_upload/59d4d45ef5946346a9281ad72c3db3dc.jpg BR Blue HST Train Pack (Hornby RailRoad; showing ex-Lima tooling) /media/tinymce_upload/8ff293b67992b59f631ec46987ab5ed1.jpg Note that these have their respective pros and cons:- - Older Hornby HST has a better detailed underframe, but it's overall shape is slightly off. - Ex-Lima HST has a lesser detailed underframe, but it's overall shape is better.
  7. Sorry Sultan, but you do need to do your research carefully. The GWR HST train set DOES NOT show images of the HST from Hornby's latest tooling. It clearly shows the HSTs from Hornby's older tooling. Also there's no confirmation from Hornby whether they'll be using the ex-Lima tooling or older Hornby tooling as yet. So let's not jump to conclusions. - The GWR HST train set currently shows older Hornby HST tooling - The BR Blue HST powercars from the RailRoad range shows older Lima tooling.
  8. Did you actually get that information from Hornby or is it just a guess?
  9. @JBAutosport The GWR HST set will contain a pair of HST powercars and a single Mk3 coach. The powercars will be from either the older Hornby tooling or the ex-Lima tooling. The Mk3 coach will be the regular ones. There's no certainty as yet as to what tooling the powercars will be, the box art shows older Hornby tooling whereas the BR Blue HST pack in the Railroad range shows ex-Lima tooling. Only time will tell, however this is an absolutely brilliant move by Hornby to get youngsters into the hobby as the GWR HSTs are something that children see running around today. So they'll be able to get a train set of what they travel on.
  10. I've subscribed, and you know what I did a quick watch of his first few videos and his latest and there's certainly improvement! Some people just talk utter rubbish! Glad I subscribed to Jimyjames73
  11. Tim Shaw is at it again..... Yes Tim has been an extremely busy man and this time has an update with our 1:76 scale MG coaching stock and the 4-6-2 YP's tender. Tim's layout is based in the fictional town of Jamalsarai in the "Eastern Railway, E.R." division of the Indian Railways. The E.R.never had any YP steam locos but the E.R. livery really went down well in Tim's mind, therefore he also has a fictional MG steam shed and Jamalsarai serves as a BG and MG railhead. /media/tinymce_upload/2e547235b09e9270099b2dcd3d55b842.JPG /media/tinymce_upload/b1d30c7ac3738f2df81211abc431ec98.JPG /media/tinymce_upload/b2fac198a4341a2039e1890c5fdd6e20.JPG /media/tinymce_upload/8fbf994b1c04826a692f617dc84c1ccc.JPG I hope you guys are enjoying the updates? Cheers! JB
  12. Here's a couple of images of my NDM6 CAD work. The NDM6 is a 2ft gauge NG diesel locomotive built by Suri and Narayan (SAN Engineering) a factory that builds mostly Industrial Shunters. SAN is based in Whitefield in Bangalore which is a locality known for it's old British buildings and Anglo-Indian community. The NDM6 was first pressed into service on the Matheran Hill Railway (MHR) near Bombay. After many years of service the NDM6s were moved to the Darjeeling Himalayan Railway (DHR) where they now chugg up and down the hills every day. /media/tinymce_upload/2f5dd515694eb331749fccf6eb5e9f79.jpg /media/tinymce_upload/509a18d84c42c7e018fcfbc8cbf64adb.jpg The NDM6 has over it's years been modified and I've managed to draw up both variations. The basic differences are the cab window (bonnet end) and the speed whiskers on the grille. The NDM6 will be powered by a TomyTec TM-TR02 motorized bogie and I shall have the model 3D printed on an Anycubic Photon by a good friend of mine. If it is succesful I shall be buying an Anycubic Photon for myself. Hope you guys like the CAD images? Cheers!JB.
  13. Thank you so much Rod! Really means a lot.... I am going to start sharing my work on the Dapol Digest regularly now.
  14. Hello John, Yes I have an entire range of Indian Railway related accessories in the pipeline. Personally I've never seen those circular benches with the umbrella in my 23 years...However I do have the standard design of Indian Railway platform benches. My personal preference is actually box profile/dioramas more than layouts as I can model multiple locations. If you scroll back you'll also see some of my NG models i.e. 2' and 2'6" stuff. My rolling plan is as follows and came into effect since June this year (all in 1:87)... - Indian Railway NG (the range of kits is almost complete infact) for use on 9mm gauge track (HOe) - Indian Railway MG for use on 12mm track (we coined the term HOmg) - Indian Railway BG for use on 16.5/18.83 mm track (HO/HObg) I've already covered 4 NG coaches, 2 NG wagons, 7 NG locos.... 4 more coaches and 3 more wagons yet to be done. Ask Adam for my email and we can have a better and less restricted conversation offline. HTH? Regards, JeremiahBunyan
  15. Thanks...and no, that's a regular IR spec twin beam headlight.
  16. Yes, as long as I have accurate dimensions. Ask Adam for my email and drop me a mail....
  17. Tim Shaw, a wonderful chap with whom I've been working with for the last couple of years to design and build some Indian Railway MG kits in 1:76 scale has dropped off a bucket load of pictures today. So for your viewing pleasure....I hope you guys like my 3D modelling skills and Tim's building, painting and weathering skills. ./media/tinymce_upload/64c3e1922762c7db0f432ce15ebf52d9.JPG ./media/tinymce_upload/585a8a2eab1d8c124f2542cd02c8f3b0.JPG ./media/tinymce_upload/4a93df45d032ff9732b21d13e74ea335.JPG ./media/tinymce_upload/40436b05bc61d631c05ea3646f7c290c.JPG ./media/tinymce_upload/91b66970387ac9b334d0d6f37ec9d97c.JPG ./media/tinymce_upload/25c0768933bd8473bd41b7b74482e258.JPG ./media/tinymce_upload/6ddfe5e945be0184a9512849ea202b90.JPG ./media/tinymce_upload/612c6b48afe27008ad02a094335b9747.JPG ./media/tinymce_upload/11349cb31de454f493ae02e81beee729.JPG ./media/tinymce_upload/ffe55096778c8a252dc31a0df1b3aa08.JPG ./media/tinymce_upload/16da9198cfb3c2928bf61f4b8d16f8e5.JPG ./media/tinymce_upload/7d8747798880cd93958686767c864f3e.JPG ./media/tinymce_upload/a06e08c07faee3df67e8637e2c22ebfa.JPG ./media/tinymce_upload/65c40260189833cad38544e2e56fd73e.JPG ./media/tinymce_upload/cef6dbe4cdd2f9ed34045d7cefcaa507.JPG
  18. Personally think the current version of the "Santa's Express" 0-4-0 has done it's job and run it's course. Hornby have 2 other 0-4-0s and should use them also.
  19. My ZDM-4A has entered the paint booth. It's still being worked on. I'm currently lining the model and adding details. /media/tinymce_upload/b2cb025871051b9422a448bd526945d7.jpg /media/tinymce_upload/01d317f02931dee134afddb2b8f8722c.jpg /media/tinymce_upload/6bcb45c3211b06cb8b7de2ddc987195c.jpg More pics to follow soon.
  20. Finally received one of my 3D prints from Shapeways. Overall the 3D printing quality is quite good. The only issue I had was that some detail parts like the horns broke off in the factory prior to packaging and I am not missing a few details. Anyway here are a few images of the model in it's primer coat. /media/tinymce_upload/6bab7dbedfeba5ba06be006fb8c9dafa.JPG /media/tinymce_upload/b6276aa87c3acd44d3bebbefa54bd636.JPG /media/tinymce_upload/13938be7f66175e2d6421ff3bd6bed64.JPG /media/tinymce_upload/bad8b284fd2d18912b8279a2c14476b4.JPG /media/tinymce_upload/ba10fb4bb17f0c6eff388a5ca3ce40aa.JPG /media/tinymce_upload/d6ca7a030156d4ae7a0462c4e8f466b3.JPG /media/tinymce_upload/1bb2bd7f1a0f564b89a8975331e2bd0e.JPG /media/tinymce_upload/5b5b4e3b99fefa6c24af0c1d3ac16552.JPG
  21. What production line are you talking about? These sets are simply made up of items that aren't selling too well. Look at the product codes. All these Train Sets and Train Packs are simply re-packed existing stock. These have been on the shelves for a while now. They were produced months and years ago.
  22. Hey mate! Yes I do have a few, though I have currently de-listed them to update them with better detail and accuracy. I'll get Adam (the admin of the Hornby Forums) to pass on my contact details. At the moment I have a WAP-5 and WAP-7. Obviously I have plans to do many more, it's just a matter of getting a suitable chassis first. The WAP-5 and WAP-7 are currently in 1:150 scale, I am however looking to do a range in the more popular and more accurate 1:160 scale
  23. Some progress since my can of primer finally came! /media/tinymce_upload/af57c54e5ca73e0cbb62894452432522.jpg /media/tinymce_upload/d5275e0303c8b729270964a8c0354f3e.jpg /media/tinymce_upload/fda9f14807985730c4d4af0d50bf34f0.jpg /media/tinymce_upload/9ea785d313bb812322aff217e83b4896.jpg
