  1. Another manufacturer Wiking Modellbau has discontinued paper catalogues - they will only be available as a download to print in future.,
  2. As you say ellocoloco your choice. I agree about the moaners but these sorts are never satisfied.
  3. I would hate to pay that sort of money for the sound file to be so inaccurate. This hobby is fast becoming a niche indulgence for the rich.
  4. Thanks for your suggestion, the photo appeared OK from the camera but it was awful when downloaded to the laptop. Will try the brass wire although there is very little clearance on the KK mech. Am not surprised AC models do not have it is a 1998 item.
  5. Herewith photo of the coupler mechanism it is much longer than others of this type I have seen
  6. I have recently obtained very inexpensively the above with a broken coupler sheared off at the junction of the NEM box. I have tried to repair with cyano and epoxy but find that the coupler does not swing any longer which may have been the reason why it was broken in the first place. I can use the wagon at the end of a train but would wish to obtain a replacement coupler if available from some source - I should say that the wagon is of 1995 vintage and pre Hornby takeover - does anyone have any ideas ???
  7. My information concerning 2024 Roco Catalogues was I am afraid inaccurate. Their latest issue catalogue is freely available in Europe at no cost and it only seems to be Gaugemaster restricting the issue to a download presumably because of the cost of paper catalogues from Roco and the ever increasing cost of postage via Royal Mail.
  8. The small Jouef Junior range introduced after the merger with Lima were all in fact ex Lima tooling with the 3 pole circular motor and drive to one bogie see lestrainsjouef.
  9. ellocoloco - yes to the Spanish site foretrenes - I could not pick up your message for some bizarre reason - perhaps you could transfer your question to this site and I will give you a fast response???
  10. I think I can beat you to it ellocoloco - my Electrotren catalogues go back to their days of HO tinplate and Roco to their very first Roco-Peetzy monochrome item. Even Lima I have since their early days but must say have never seen one of their Spanish catalogues although I have in many other languages. Trouble is they are taking over my railway room (garage) but at least I know where to find them !!!!
  11. Could you please post this in the correct forum - Hornby International
  12. Surely non-UK items concerning the International makes of Hornby and their predecessors - Jouef, Lima, Hornby-Acho should be posted in the International Forum ?????
  13. Hear hear ellocoloco a man after my own heart I have cabinets full of old catalogues from defunct makes not easy to find on the net from my time as the Trades Officer of a wellknown continental interest society.
