  1. According to webpage source 22nd Sept 2024 for both versions (subject to change of course) I would be getting one too at that price 🙂
  2. The Intercity Mk3 coaches are also now 30/6/24. Going to be expensive month if all these do release on that date.
  3. I’ve noticed that the pre-order arrival is now Summer rather than Spring 2024. The DC version is showing 30/6/24 and DCC is 30/7/24. The LMS coaches are still 30/5/24. Speaking of coaches the era 7 & 8 Mk2f are now showing 30/6/24.
  4. I don't fancy doing that to a brand new model that has literally just arrived. Just spoken to tech support who said for it to be replaced. A replacement will be sent once this one returned. Thanks for your help.
  5. Thanks, I'll have to raise a return with them.
  6. Hi, My Blue / Grey HST has just arrived but I am having issues getting it to run. I have just the power and dummy car on the track and when I apply power I can hear the motor spinning but it doesn't move or moves slowly. Any ideas or is it a return to Hornby? Thanks.
  7. Sometimes companies sell starter packs at cost or near cost to get you hooked. They’ll then make their money later with all the extras you buy.
  8. Looks like the classic Blue/Yellow BR. Nice for those starting out. Wonder what a certain YouTuber will do now when they moaned about the TT 120 HST costing £600+ for a new starter... that video didn't date well.
  9. If its anything like the HST and coaches release expect a day or so between items released on the same date. 27th May 2024 BR 57' era 4 coaches 30th May 2024 LMS Loco era 3, LMS 57' coaches, BR57' era 5 coaches. 5th June 2024 BR era 4 & 5 Loco's Again looking at the HST locos that release the 'together' there may be a day or so between the actual releases. Also meta data subject to change.
  10. It's great that the range is starting to expand. This summer looks good for TT with the LMS Princess Coronation + BR era 4&5's, Class 50s, Mk2f coaches, Mk3 (BR Blue & GWR) coaches, LMS & BR 57' coaches & HAA wagons.
  11. Fingers cross for you. I decided to order the Blue/Yellow HST too (already have the Executive & coaches). I'll use some Mk1 with mine until the Blue/Grey Mk3s are out.
  12. I know, they should be released together not weeks/months apart
  13. Not planning on the era 7 or 11, might be tempted for the 7 though. I have a rule of only 1 model per class. Then again rules are made to be broken. hope it’s released for you soon.
  14. Really good and well presented. Looking forward to future episodes.
  15. Exactly, it won’t take preorders from shops etc but then again it’s no more skewed than asking 2500 people who are OO modellers if they’re going TT and deciding from the results that no one is buying.
  16. I did the show page source and looked for label data-stock-level on a few items. I tried to get as close as like for like on pre-order. HST Exec Livery - 51 for OO and it was around 115 for TT at the time of release. HST BR Blue - 48 for OO and 68 + 84 for TT (TT has DC & DCC, OO is DC) Mk3 Buffett Exec - 17 for OO (TT already released) Mk3 Buffett Blue - Both OO & TT have 91 each Mk3 1st class Exec era 8 - 16 for OO (TT already released) Mk3 Standard Open Blue - 20 for OO and 69 for TT Green Class 08 Shunter - 55 for OO and 104 for TT Obviously there are none TT items that could have very large pre-orders so that could eclipse what TT could be selling. Pre-orders don't necessarily dictate how popular something will be post launch.
  17. Yes, I used to build servers and pcs years ago so got in the habit about ESD. I fitted in the kitchen which is stone floor tiles, the table was wooden. These were not DOA, they were running and the locos just stopped. One kept cutting out then starting again whilst on a long straight. The Mallard was the first to be fitted and works perfectly. It’s just the since.
  18. the TT digital track, PSU > track connector and the 4 amp PSU, all Hornby. I went through the power and part numbers with tech support. They said it should all be ok.
  19. Out of 5 I have bought 4 have gone faulty. One burnt out melting the socket of the loco, 3 have stopped working whilst locos were running. I'm seriously thinking of going back to DC. Whilst sound is nice it isn't necessary . Not Happy.
  20. looks like the decoder, reseated and nothing. Put the blank back in and lights came on. This'll be the 3rd failure for the decoders. 1st one burnt out (literally melted), Blink Bonny just stopped on a straight and now this one today. It was working perfectly with the reds and engine sounds but then I noticed lights were off. I'll contact customer services (again).
  21. The Mk3 coaches have arrived. Looks like the decoder in the dummy car has died, no lights or sound and not connected in app...
  22. I'm glad I went for TT, I used to have OO back in 82 when the APT first came out. The board was a simple oval with a few sidings. In Jan this year I found some of my old bits and decided I was going to get back into it again. What really made me go for TT was the size of track I could get on a 6 x 4 board and the locos & coaches available / due out. Seeing and hearing the HST doing loops around my Mallard has really made it for me tonight.
  23. Fitting the decoder is easy, you remove 4 screws underneath and ease the body off. You can see the DC blanking plate which you remove and then the small board fits in its place. The speaker has its own socket away from the board which is keyed so it only fits one way. The dummy car was a bit more fiddly as you have to move the wheels to the side to unfasten the screws. For some reason I didn't get a leaflet with mine showing me where the screws are so I had to use photos from the forums to see what to do. I'm going to contact Hornby next week to see if they can send me one. Both are fitted and in, sounds are fantastic. Tip: make sure the speaker is working before sticking it down! I had a faulty one that I had to remove. Lucky I had a spare from other decoder boxes.
  24. For some reason they pulled the digital version a while back. I bought the two decoders and fitted them.
