It is rather expensive at £20... meanwhile in the USA they have been reissuing old 1:32 scale AMT car kits for far less than this and they're attracting the attention of slot car enthusiasts. I remember building the Airfix Maserati Indy when it was new the last time around - I carefully airbrushed it metallic bronze and did quite a good job for the time. I probably still have it tucked away somewhere. It was one of the best car kits that Airfix ever made, but it's no match for a modern Tamiya or Revell 1:24 car kit for not much more money...

Don't forget, tooling, scaling and licenses involved add to the cost of kits. This Airfix starterKIT also includes brushes, piant and glue, as well as the parts to build the car. I don't think the price tag too bad and I am sure that kit will be found cheaper at model shops.
