SCALEXTRIC C7005 F1 Retro-Fit Digital Chip

Dear Friends

I am having trouble getting hold of SCALEXTRIC C7005 F1 Retro-Fit Digital Chip for single seater cars.  Those that are out there have massively inflated prices,  I saw one on Ebay for £80. Can I adapt a DPR sinlge seater chip to fit an F1 car?  Has anyone out there tried it? Once I cut all the plastic away and add new wires, will it fit?

You could always check scaly own slot dealers sites by typing in 7005 at England site.

Or buy USA from 132slotcar.us or professor motor, who both lis them available for under 20 pounds.,

or import thrm from USA ebay dealers who appear to have the most of them

Or buy f1 that take the dpr chip.

 

As for using the f1 dpr chip, probably if you want to rewire car and check wiring code at slot forum, digital scaly,

where someone  probably has done that install already.

Heck some have chipped the tiny vintage f1s but I am not even going to try that.

Chips are readily available for 20-30 GBP normally...just do some shopping around

Thanks Gorp,  I am almost tempted to have go and get out the wire cutters.  I am always up for a challenge. 

Andy, I will shop aroud first though, GORP has some good ideas.
