Push in guide blade

Recommended Posts

I recently purchaed the Ford GT40 and whenever it leaves the track the guide blade/brush assy leaves the car. It has a different setup to the otherr cars in that the assembly is a push fit, which seems quite secure, but isn't in a crash. Anyone have any adviceor tips?

Cheers

Your ford gt is from the first decade of this century.

It is designed to pop guide out to change braid and held  guide better than 90s style.

There should be a clip inside that holds guide but hard accidents can pop it out and sometimes is not fully pushed back in.

The next generation of guides have a changable round braid section that can slide off  track and cause power problems when left uncorrected.

Thanks for that, the guide comes out even when it just slides off the track, guess I'll just have to drive slower!  Cheers
