Allyc40 Posted July 13, 2020 Share Posted July 13, 2020 Hi,I'm pretty new to scalextric and have only started collecting cars since I purchased a GT Racers set.Anyway,I decided analogue is for me as I'm not really too fussed for digital.After purchasing the set however ARC came on the market.My current set has a sports powerbase which I run 2 c912 transformers on with a transformer powering each lane I think.Im very pleased with it but was wondering if there is any performance increase with the ARC ONE powerbase and controls?I am not interested in using ARC features as I dont race so should I just stick with my sports set?BTW As ARC only has one powerbase running both lanes can it not get power problems such as surges and drops etc.?Any help appreciated. Posted July 14, 2020 Share Posted July 14, 2020 The whole point of ARC is the ARC features so I don't think there is a point to upgrading.ARC AIR is great for analog with its wireless controllers but if you don't want that or any of the other features there really is no point.
