Peter 65
I have several Jouef locos and run on hornby track. There is an issue with the hornby manual uncoupler in that the locos ground on the upslope when the uncoupler is raised. I've tried sanding them down but, if the loco clears, the couplings don't disengage. Is there an uncoupler out there that will work straight out of the packet or is it just a question of very gently sanding until the correct height is achieved?Note to hornby; excellent range of SNCF locos and rolling stock but absolutely nothing available in buildings, backdrops, lineside equipment, signals etc. Missing a trick I reckon. Brew Man
Yes, most of the available uncouplers leave something to be desired. The Gaugemaster offering gets good reviews. I've bought two, but have not yet installed them, so can't really advise further, sorry.
ellocoloco
Hi Peter and welcome to the forum. Are you using NEM 360 couplers as normally supplied with Hornby Int'l models? What uncoupler are you using? Is it one marketed for Hornby's OO range and British tension lock couplers? If so, its probably unsuitable for NEM 360s.Regarding buildings, there are a number of former MKD models in the Jouef section of this website. Hopefully this will grow in time.(I would expect this thread to be moved to the Hornby Int'l section)
