LesD
If I want to buy after market tyres is there any description which tells me the sizes of tyres currently used on the cars?i presume Scalextric use only a few sizes of wheel, hubs and therefore only a few different tyres?i know I can measure the tyres currently on the car but how exact do you need to be? Andy P.
The main slot car accessory suppliers usually list the compatible cars on the package/website.If in doubt contact the owner of the site or the manufacturer...As you can imagine there are thousands of tires out there and all kinds of compounds and materials so it is hard to make a general recommendation... LesD
I was afraid it wasn’t going to be easy. But surely Scalextric only use a few wheel hub sizes across their range? It would be a good start to know what they are and listed somewhere? Andy P.
There was a news post a few year back that with a few exceptions all cars will have the same size wheel.13", 14", 15" up to 17" all more or less look the same in 1/32 scale. There are exceptions of course.Chances are a good supplier will know this and indicate it accordingly.
