JJ73
Along the top of the screen, on the Tabs, I keep on seeing a message saying..."πQuick, The doors are Closing!" - err what doors - what does it mean???Any ideas??? π€πππ
RB51
A recent MS innovation now puts a short piece of web page text relevant to your search response on the associated tab.If you look through the web page on that tab you will find something relevant to the textβ¦β¦β¦. probably. The text does seem to change occasionally no doubt due to page content.Personally, I donβt find it very helpful.R-
ellocoloco
Rog, is your avatar Caley 123?On the subject of the tab headers, which don't appear on my tablet incidentally but are on the PC, I think 'Mind the gap' would be more amusing.... Chrissaf
I noticed this a few days ago. In my case, the alternating text says "Your Next Stop Hornby" and hasn't changed to anything different, regardless of what Hornby web page is open.I find it very irritating, as my eye keeps getting drawn to the tab when it changes, distracting my attention from the web page I am looking at.It only happens (so far) on a Hornby browser tab, and I can find no way yet to disable this web page advertising feature. Browser is Firefox, haven't tried other browsers yet to see if the same is observed on them as well.EDIT: Today it changed to "Don't miss your train". RB51
Just noticed it happening on Safari alsoβ¦.. irritating. If I stay on the forum the text is static. If I move to another tab the text alters between where I was on Hornby and Your Next Stop : HornbyMarketing strategy?R-
Chrissaf
Marketing strategy?Β Β I believe so, as this only happens on Hornby page tabs.
ellocoloco
It appears to have stopped..................(Chrome on Laptop)
96RAF
Doesnβt seem to be popular if such a ploy. Not the first unpopular marketing attempt to grab peoplesβ attention - those pop up ads were soon scotched and the social media hopping advent calendar wasnβt that popular. Chrissaf
It appears to have stopped..................(Chrome on Laptop)Β Β Not on my Firefox Browser. But note that it only displays on a Hornby Tab which is NOT open [in other words a Hornby page which is not currently displayed]. When you are viewing a Hornby page, the Tab text is stable and relevant to the page being viewed.
TVR1707822112
It happens here as well. It says 'Quick, the doors are closing' which is really annoying - it happens on every hornby page so not related to a specific subject.
