slowshunter
Hello and help. I use a Hornby Select controller. I have a Class37 DCC fitted with sound. Today I pressed F2 to sound the horn but the horn stayed on! I tried the same tHing with another Hornby Select and the same thing happened. Therefore I think the problem is to do with the locomotive. I tried to reset the controller but it syaed the same. Can one of you clever chaps please help me. Thank you in advance.Cheers,Phil
morairamike
Try resetting the decoder. You don't say what make the decoder is but usually it's write 8 to CV8.Looking at the web it would appear that Select can't do that though.
Rog RJ
Isn't it just a matter of pressing F2 again to switch it off?PS. Selects with the latest firmware can reset CV8 and program all other CVs up to 255 too.
morairamike
F2 is a one shot.Good to know that Select with latest firmware will CV8 8 for you.On TTS to reset only the sounds to default, it's CV8 to 5.On TTS to reset decoder but not sounds it's CV8 to 8. 96RAF
Need to know which decoder it is and if not TTS then who's sound set is loaded. All Select functions once selected stay on until selected off. Keeping track of what is on or not can be onerous.Usually horns, etc play through and time out, obviously not on this decoder.
