New cross track

Hi Richard,

I presume you are aware of this crossover:

?

I think they moved away from the half straight crossover as it was done in the Classic track is because the longer full-length straight allows for more reaction time to slow down and avoid a collision.

It's the same logic as applied to the 90° R2 crossover curves i.e. you are slowing for a curve anyway so there should be less of a chance of crashing.

I also think there is a small issue with the geometry. Well, issue is not the right word... If memory serves it is better / easier or more smooth to make the full length cross over to meet up that the half straight.

I remember back in the day trying to make the smallest possible circuit using Classic track and using the half-straight crossover and I was surprised when I could use R1 curvers (smallest radii) to make thing meet up.

I am absolutely hopeless at math though so it could just me being a bit daft...

Anyway... thanks for your input and who knows, if there are enough arguments for it it might happen after all!
