Carltonf
So I wasn’t sure which forum to post this in, but…..I wonder if Hornby have considered licensing Thomas the Tank for their forthcoming TT:120 range. That would be interesting…
ellocoloco
Looking at the current state of the TV shows, I think Thomas has pretty much had it. I would guess Hornby would have seen diminishing sales and would have been happy to get rid of the licensing costs associated with TTTE.Plenty of Thomas models on Ebay and the diecast ones would fairly easily be converted to approx TT120. Set in the West
I agree with @ellocoloco. With the new "All Engines Go!" stuff, they wouldn't be bringing it back. Too childish, and possibly wouldn't be able to make the right proportions for how the engines look now.
Bexhill Donkey
It would be quite a good idea to produce the now-discontinued OO Thomas and Friends in TT:120. The original Revd W. Awdry books, the gauge 1 series and the CGI series each have their own canon. The Bachmann models are accurate to the CGI series, but not the books. The Hornby OO gauge models are accurate to the Gauge 1 series. A range of models could be produced in the TT:120 scale as accurate to the original books which more closely follow railway practice.
