Not running over power 2 on hand controllers

Hello. Bought my som a second hand set for Xmas, it worked fine for 2 days then stopped. The cars will run fine on power 2 (on the hand cobtrollers) but 3 or 4 they just start stop and won't run. Even if I just put them on the power supply bit of track. On setting 2 they run perfectly. Can anyone please help as I now have a very disappointed boy

Hi Philip,

We can't help you without knowing more about the set you bought.

You mention controllers "3 and 4 " which sounds like a digital set (that can handle up to 6 cars) and not an analog set that can only handle 2.

I don't know what "setting 2" means...:?

We need to know what powerbase, set, and cars you are working with in order to provide any kind of help.

Interesting the guy in the previous post name in Philip as is my name.

I have a question on current analog sets. Do the controllers that come in the sets have adjustable power levels to lower the top speed available for when beginners are racing?

Yes the most up-to-date sets have a slider on the back to limit the power in 25% increments.

A very nice feature for new racers!
