what to do with completed models ?

Perhaps you can find a club (scouts for example) or a school that would set up a locked display cabinet with them in it. A small label identifying each one would be good as would a short write-up about your dad.


Quite educational and in it's own way a sort of memorial. You might even consider shelling out for the cost of a glass display cabinet if they organisation you choose doesn't have one available.


When I was a scout - half a century ago - I remember a certain Mr Anderson had donated his collection of the Airfix airliners to our scout group and we all enjoyed admiring them for years. Wonder what happened to them. He lives on in my memory.

Quit a lot of aviation museums welcome model aircraft for their displays. It might be worth contacting your local aviation museum.

When I need space for new models I give my old ones to friends who appreciate them.

Maybe some of your dads friends might like one as a reminder of their friendship.
