peebeep
You'll get dozens of different recommendations, my own picks would an AS186 compressor (with reservoir) and one of the Fengda airbrushes, the latter are cheap as chips but are really quite reasonable quality. You should find the compressor on Amazon or eBay for under £100. If you're prepared to spend a bit more on the airbrush the Gunze Sanyo range of Procon airbrushes are outstanding. Go for a top cup/gravity feed.
Topcat_Ern
I echo what is said. My advice is also get the compressor with a tank. One without runs continuously and gets very hot. The Fengda brushes are very good and I would suggest the ones where the nozzles can be removed without tools as they are much easier to clean with less chance of damage. So good I have three, one at 0.5 (for 1/35 kits), one at 0.3 and one at 0.2 (unfortunately screwed nozzle). In fact they are so easy I have put my Iwata Neo back in its box and away in the cupboard.Andy

Sam Murray
Are there any downsides to having an airbrush with an integrated compressor?
