Keep Pictures out of Original Forum Posts

Not a big deal, just to make things a little tidier - given OPs are repeated at the top of every page, I suggest they be kept brief by not including pictures in them. They can then be included in the next post.

When the original post is long, it takes up room on every page and lengthens the whole thread.

Good idea. It also means the topic is seen immediately as the pictures are automatically held back in the approval chain.

It has been suggested that where a quoted post is long, it appears in an expandable frame within the post. This space saving method can be seen on RM Web Forum, one of its better features.

Without meaning to criticise Silver Fox or moawkwrd, today in TT:120 are 2 OPs with long text, unnecessary carriage returns between and under text then 3 pics/diagrams in one case, 4 in the other.
They perfectly illustrate what might easily be avoided.

 

 

Almost as if this sticky post didn’t exist purely for the guidance of those too blinkered to see…
