Mark-1275245
Evening everyone, Would anyone be able to advise on how to do the distempered white effect that was used on the Harrier in Norway in 1979. I seem to have hit a brick wall with this. Any advice greatly appreciated

Model Making Madness
Do what they actually did when putting on the arctic camo. Paint the Harrier in the grey and green scheme then paint over the green with white. It doesn't have to be perfect as it wasn't in real life. Then you could always go over an do chipping with green over the white. Hope this helps!
Darren-345957
Similar to the desert pink used in the Gulf war, the white was a temporary finish known as ARTF (alkali removable temporary finish) so an overspray of the existing paint job is the way to go. The finish is reasonably hard wearing and wasn't on for too long so they tended to stay fairly clean as far as weathering goes.
Tour de Airfix
I love the idea you have of creating this scheme. Look forward to seeing how you get on 👍
