Kazza62 Posted February 24 Share Posted February 24 Hi ,I have an old Scalectrix cars( about 25 years old) ,I was wondering if anyone knows if the braids are the same size as the new one or if the ones on scalectrix website will fit.The ones in pic seem too narrow and slide to one side. Grateful for any advise..thanks Hi Kazza, Any braid should fit, you can spread braid and shape it to any position. I like the the thinner braid, you can buy a load of Pendle slot racing. The braid on that car pictured looks fine to me. I would use some lighter fruid on a cotton bud and clean up any old braid first and go from there, only needs replacing if it is really bad. Have fun!
