are there any clear liquids that I can use that won’t damage my models

So i’m planning to film the railway series in 00 gauge and I then thought of all the water related accidents. Are there any liquids which look like water that won’t fry the electronics of the locomotives?

Try googling non conductive liquids?

Apparently distilled water doesn’t conduct.

Personally I’d use dummy/empty locos for any scenes that could potentially result in damage.

There is an episode of 'Sam's Trains' where he runs a OO model underwater and doesn't seem to have many issues other than the wagons wanting to float.
