Dominic Thomas
A few years ago I managed to be able to fly in the B-24 owned by the Collings Foundation. Here are some pics of the inside which may be useful when constructing the new Airfix kit. Most photos are around the bomb bay area. The last photo shows the area below the dorsal turret where a lot of the walls were that peculiar shade of green, which was also found in places around the cockpit and around the waist gun positions. Hope these are useful.
Tour de Airfix
Wow! That’s amazing 🤩 My great uncle was a gunner on a British B-24 in the closing years of the war, so I’ve been attracted to the Liberator ever since hearing of his stories when I was a boy. Last year I had opportunity to serve as a guide at my local US Navy Airfield Museum from where B-24s flew hunting submarines over the Atlantic. We had videos running continuously in the museum and the one which has been embedded in memory is of a walkthrough the aircraft in flight. That walk along the ‘bridge’ between the bombs must have been an experience!
Ratch
Good pictures Dominic. The new Airfix Liberator is the H, but the old one is the J, so these will be useful for that - (I have one of those to build).

As an aircraft engineer by trade, I think you'll find Ratch that there will not be too much dissimilar between them internally, if at all, especially given the main difference between the airframes is the different nose guns and where they were manufactured. SD45elect2000
The B17 909 is in your photos too. This was crashed a few years back and no longer exists. Randall
Dominic Thomas
Randall, I flew in ‘909’ as well. I’ll put up some pics of the inside details of that as well to help with internal colours.
