Ratch
The British are not really accurate. The drummer is painted as a French 7th Hussard and the Trumpeter and flag bearer as 5th Hussards.
Ratch
My last five Hussar figures. The bases had gone AWOL and they have been painted as French musicians and sappers. http://pic100.picturetrail.com/VOL761/13303934/24821117/414122681.jpg 1st Regiment http://pic100.picturetrail.com/VOL761/13303934/24821117/414122682.jpg 4th Regiment http://pic100.picturetrail.com/VOL761/13303934/24821117/414122683.jpg 7th Regiment http://pic100.picturetrail.com/VOL761/13303934/24821117/414122684.jpg
Ratch
On to the next set. The Waterloo British Artillery (01746) figures were heavy with flash, I removed this with a hot soldering iron. They were then sprayed with black primer. Ratch
These didn't take long. They can also represent the King's German Legion Horse Artillery. They were equipped and uniformed the same as the RHA.http://pic100.picturetrail.com/VOL761/13303934/24821117/414124530.jpghttp://pic100.picturetrail.com/VOL761/13303934/24821117/414124532.jpghttp://pic100.picturetrail.com/VOL761/13303934/24821117/414124534.jpg
Ratch
Next up, the Waterloo French Infantry 01744. The instructions have them painted as Grenadiers; which isn't too bad except they lack epaulettes, and the breeches and gaiters they wear are more fitting for an earlier period than Waterloo. They could equally be Voligeurs; right in some aspects but wrong in others. Flags weren't carried by Grenadiers or Voltigeurs so he must be a Fusilier. Trumpeters were not used by the Infantry, so I shall transfer him to the Horse Artillery. The Officer is quite acceptable. Like the RHA these carry a bit of flash. Out with the soldering iron for a clean-up.
Ratch
I shall be painting them in a variety of uniforms. These will be Grenadiers. About twice as many will be Voltigeurs. Two Fusiliers. Drummer in pre-Bardic uniform The mounted officer. The Horse Artillery trumpeter.

Ratch
The next set to enter the process is the 01749 Imperial Guard. There is a thin film of flash around each of the figures. So they received the soldering iron treatment. I have 8 figures left over from my previous set (with the bases cut off), so I may as well paint them at the same time.
