I've built this one, when the kit was new, which is a long time ago. The model would be fine with thinner material for the windows, so you could see the interior.

No - it's just that Airfix seem to have NO interest in car kits.

Well if that is true, it is a shame, but fortunately there are some other enlightened kit makers out there who are less short sighted. I have found that some of the Japanese companies have been friendly, enthusiastic and actually engaged enough to discuss ideas with me. They deserve to succeed and will have my business and goodwill. I would like to hope that Airfix will follow their example... This forum is a good start so long as it helps deliver change.

Roy, why is every one of your posts so negative. If you don't like Airfix why are you here?

My post was an observation and I hoped someone at Airfix might give a reason why it was in the Yearbook but omitted from the Mini Catalogue.

My posts aren't all negative.

I have posted pictures and some basic info on what can be done with the 1/32 Jaguar E Type.

It's a lovely little kit that really, really deserves updating.

The only reason any of my posts come across as negative, is because I'm stating what numerous others are saying.

Airfix seem to have absolutely no interest in Cars.

OK, there's more money in aircraft, and Airfix is a business, in it for profit.

Have a read of the 'Open letter to Airfix' that has been posted.

It pretty well sums up what a huge corner of the kit market feel.

I would love to be more supportive of Airfix.

I just wish they were more supportive of the model car area.
