Hello, this may sound slightly mad, but I see one can move the position of the magnet within the chassis, what woukd happen if a magnet was placed in each position?  Any benefit or a silly idea. Thoughts appreciated

too much magnet can leave you stuck to the track

however in the past many have used multiple magnets when racing

only if you try will you find out if you like it better

Heavy magnet attraction can also cause the motor to overheat.

Before you use magnets to keep the cars on the track you should clean the track, true and sand the tires and use some form of sticky tape like packing or duct/gaffer tape to clean them.

Google sanding or truing slot car tires and you will see a ton of how to videos online.

Have never lost a can due to magnets.

Now use less or none like way back in the dark ages.

 

But this discussion only applies to analog only.

Advise never using more magnet than stock when running digital.

We can always add more magnets. We can even get stronger magnets for the same slot. However, I wouldn't recomend it. We do all need to go down that path and try it but cars stuck to the track are no fun, no power slides. I'd add borders before magnets. Full throttle all they way round, no need to slow down, it ruins the dexterity of the game. Cars with well maintained tyres will corner extremely fast. If your cars aint sticking well, check the tyres, true them.

 

Cars with greater magnetraction are slower. You won't get as fast acceleration on the straights.

So I bought a couple of magnets gold plated were only $ 11from lakota, so I'm an idiot because they said I could stack them. But it  sounds like  I was misinformed. Live and learn.
