Chrissaf
This service sheet shows the railings to have S.3965 as a part number.......that's a start.http://www.lendonsmodelshop.co.uk/pdf/Hornby%20Service%20Sheets/No.178%20Turntable%20R070.pdf. NWR-Gordon-4
DEREK123, I just checked eBay, using the part number / code that Chris (Chrissaf) provided and I couldn't find any. I searched with and without the dot. GNR-Gordon-4 (HF)
Going Spare
Unless someone like Peters Spares has commissioned replicas, I am doubtful you will locate any. They are always sought-after and I do not recall them being offered as replacement parts by Hornby.
Gordonvale
250mm x 13mm, divided in to 14 panels. The "pins" below the panel borders, which plug in to 15 retaining holes are 2mm.
DEREK123
Hi Chris , GNR-Gordon-4 (HF) ,GS and GordonvaleThanks veru useful info . I reckon that I will have to fabricate them ... I may be able to use modified Hornby wall parts that are used with the elevated supports ( R 660 )ThanksDerek
RDS
Looks an ideal task for a length of the earth core which has been stripped from some mains T&E cable. Cut into pieces and soldered where necessary, before a coat of matt black paint.

Puffed Out
Just had one of these delivered today, brand new in box. If you require a close up photo of the railing in question you only have to ask. (And wait for any photo to be moderated)...Cheers. 😀
DEREK123
Hi Puffed outSorry I could not get back to you earlier .A closeup photo would be really helpful , so far the problem may be length as I think the max length may be only about 6" , and height about 1/2" ... I have not been able to get a solid answer on it so far , who supplied you ?I am in no mad rush as I haven't received the TT yet . Just planning !!ThanksDerek
Puffed Out
Here you go. I bought it new, in an online auction. 250mm long, x 15mm high, including the pins that go into the turntable. The actual horizontal fencing is 12.5mm......rather crappy photo's, but you get the idea. 😀 /media/tinymce_upload/7ec2d588071204f94507507a691893ac.jpg/media/tinymce_upload/43c88b0d55e46855dc89676226b7bf70.jpg

Ruffnut Thorston
If you want to make the Hornby turntable different, like an 'over girder' rather than the representation of an 'under girder' turntable, as it comes, you could take a look at this... http://www.modelrailforum.com/forums/index.php?s=&showtopic=24372&view=findpost&p=278419 PECO girder Bridge sides. 37lover
I thought Puffed Out had bought a complete turntable as he said it was in a box! Just shows how easy it is to mis-interpret someone elses words!
Puffed Out
@DEREK123No, I bought a new complete turntable, not just the railings. Sorry if I misled you.!
