Hi All

A question for anybody who has this turntable.

I am getting a used R070 which has the safety railings missing...

Can anyone who has this tt please measure the railing  ( both length and height) please and post the findings.

I hope the piccy helps. Maybe someone knows where I can get the proper ones ?

Hi Chris , GNR-Gordon-4 (HF) ,GS and Gordonvale

Thanks veru useful info . I reckon that I will have to fabricate them ... I may be able to use modified Hornby wall parts that are used with the elevated supports ( R 660 )

Thanks

Derek

Looks an ideal task for a length of the earth core which has been stripped from some mains T&E cable.  Cut into pieces and soldered where necessary, before a coat of matt black paint.

Hi Puffed out

Sorry I could not get back to you earlier .

A closeup photo would be really helpful , so far the problem may be length as I think the max length may  be only about 6" , and height about 1/2" ... I have not been able to get a solid answer on it so far , who supplied you ?

I am in no mad rush as I haven't received the TT yet . Just planning !!

Thanks

Derek

Here you go.  I bought it new, in an online auction. 250mm long, x 15mm high, including the pins that go into the turntable. The actual horizontal fencing is 12.5mm......rather crappy photo's, but you get the idea. 😀

If you want to make the Hornby turntable different, like an 'over girder' rather than the representation of an 'under girder' turntable, as it comes, you could take a look at this...
