Trains1707822545
Hornby should produce More digital train sets, because I see very few nowadays, a couple of years ago they had a few.I know Hornby Digital isn't the best and people would rather buy analogue sets, but surely isn't there some interest in digital still?. 96RAF
The problem with digital sets is which controller to include.Currently the Select is the Hornby budget DCC controller, with the Elite premium DCC controller likely to overprice any set unless it was a flagship set with a large loco and extensive selection of rolling stock. The only other option is eLink which has to be used with Railmaster and not everyone wants to run their layout from a PC.The next option is the semi-digital iTraveller 6000 set using the new HM | DC APP operated digital modules to run analogue trains. A sort of half way house.
Brew Man
@TrainsI think there is still very much interest in DCC, I can't imagine why there wouldn't be. It's probably as Rob says - how to pitch it price-wise. Plus they seem to be pushing the HM6000 App at the moment. another consideration could be that digital limits their sales potential to digital users, whereas DCC ready includes all.
