Seacommander Posted November 20, 2021 Share Posted November 20, 2021 I would be grateful if somebody could point me in the right direction to find a supplier of a panel mounted power input socket and matching plug of the dimensions for the Elite/Select units.If my measurements are correct the pin is 3mm diameter and the outer diameter of the plug is 6.5mm and about 10mm long. 96RAF Posted November 20, 2021 Share Posted November 20, 2021 Correctish - the jack plug is widely available as 6.3 x 3.0 but I have only ever found one panel mount socket and that had a single order surcharge making it uneconomic to order from America. I robbed a pcb mount socket from a dead eLink.Edit - the UK initial supplier was either Digikeys or Mouser but having just spent some time struggling with slow site response I gave up. Again as Rob says, the plugs are readily available if you search eBay using the 6.3 x 3.0 DC Plug term. The matching socket is a genuine example of 'hens teeth'. Why they should be unavailable, even from China, is a complete mystery.Note that 6.3mm x 3.1mm plugs are also compatible with Hornby 6.3mm x 3.0mm controller sockets.
