96RAF
I see a market for urban trams, not only as starter sets but also as UK city themed individual models and all the associated scenic and infrastructure to go with them. I think Hornby has missed an opportunity to grab the market here and they could likely have allocated the Triang name to them.
TVR1707822112
That is a good idea. :)
Rana Temporia
This has been brought up before and as there are so many in cities now I think it would be a good seller. The main difficulty would be the OH equipment. Is there already something in the Hornby family European ranges that could be easily re-liveried like they did with the Electrotren 060 locos? The fact that the trams were based on HO prototypes wouldn’t really matter.
bill7437
Hornby still have the tooling for the excellent range of trams that Lima produced. Albeit of German prototype they were pretty well engineered.
Luciton St James
Nothing to stop Hornby setting up a partnership with Leopald Halling to market & sell their range of HO gauge model tram / LRT vehicles that they make. The Blackpool Flexity2 , Manchester Metrolink M5000 & Croydon Tramlink vehicles are in the Halling range. Beautiful models.
