Ratch
My aircraft recognition is not very good, Randall, so it would help if we knew what type of aircraft we were looking at. it looks very good. My guess is a Fulmar???

Hurricane Boy
You raise a good point Ratch, but I think it is an early Fairey Firefly.Tim

I’ve found the B-24 to be a real tail sitter and when I’ve loaded the nose with sufficient weight, the nose wheel hasn’t taken it well 🤦♂️
SD45elect2000
I reinforced the nose gear , they are heavy but they have just enough weight to sit correctly. I am looking forward to try the new Airfix kit to see how it will sit and how much weight I’ll need. thanks for looking ! Randall
Grumps123
Very impressive modelling, the B-24 is great. I'm looking forward to the new Airfix B-24 too!
Dominic Thomas
The latest Airfix Model World magazine has a build review of the new B-24. It recommends 50g. I wonder how close to actuality that is. I put a recommended 30g in the extreme nose of a Havoc (different manufacturer) and still needed a lot more. Sailorman
I always test it myself by taping the main parts together and putting temporary u/c legs from toothpicks into the u/c locating holes. Always allow a few grams extra to be sure.

Tour de Airfix
I am blown away by the size of this collection. Where do you keep them all, such that they are safe from damage and natural weathering?

Where do you keep them all, such that they are safe from damage and natural weathering? I have several of these display cases. I buy them more often in need of repair. In addition the little acrylic cases are fun to stack. Open shelf storage is not an option. Remember that I only model in 1/72 scale so the models are not that big.
