Fitting DCC clip to Hornby track

Good afternoon I have purchased two Hornby accessory decoders to ooerate the five turnouts I have on the layout and am having trouble fitting the DCC power from track clip to Hornby rails without cutting the black plastic sleepers, any one fitted one of these. On the website it said fit into the two slots on rails, there aren't any slots in the Hornby rails I have, would appreciate any help anyone can give Regards Robin

I don't think Hornby points have the slots, but as far as I know all but the very shortest standard curves and straights do.

If you look at the R600 standard length (168mm long) straight track R600, then the slots are about 2" (50mm) from each end (measured against the plastic 'sleeper' base).

You have to look at the track side on to actually see them though, as the slots are between the metal of the rails and a narrower section of the plastic base (between pairs of sleepers)

As an aside you don't have to wire back to the rails using those connectors, you can connect to your DCC bus (if you have one), or back to the controller itself (by splitting the output from the controller
