walkingthedog
I really hope they make a 5-POT and a 6-LIP, what about you PP?
Postman Prat
Well, I'ne heard they are doing quite an unusual unit - the VIT. They are mostly 4 car sets which are known as 4VITs. There were some 2 car sets which were known as HalfVITs.Well I thought it was amusing, even if no-one else does.Oh, please yourselves!!
walkingthedog
I like that PP.
LCDR
Ignore them Tony - they will get tired of it eventually.
walkingthedog
Only when you tire of asking for an air smoothed MN.

Postman Prat
I'm not certain. Whenever Air-smoothed Merchant Navys are mentioned LC&DR goes a bit err......odd. When you've been here a while you notice it's just best to go along with himHe was hinting just now that WTD gets upset at the mention of Flying Scotsman. He's winding us up again, WTD doesn't get upset he gets very angry
Graskie
I've always been told that "air smoothed" is the poor man's version of "streamlined."
walkingthedog
'fraid not Graskie, two different things. Concorde was streamlined, VC10 was air smoothed.
Graskie
Sorry, never heard of any Bulleids with those names, WTD.
walkingthedog
Very droll. There probably will be if the bloke who owns the 9F Cock Of The North buys one.
LCDR
What do you mean, GOES a bit odd?? I thought I had satisfied the 'odd' credentials on a permanent basis!! At least that is what SWMBO seems to think.Does WTD get angry on a David Banner scale? You remember? - goes green, swells up, tears his shirt and trousers, and grows a fuzzy hairstyle and his irises go white ?? I thought it was Nellie that had that effect on the poor fellow, so Flying Scotchman is a new one.Oh well more fuel to the fire I suppose. I prefer rum to scotch in any case. And a case of it would be most welcome at Christmas. (Hint, Hint)What I could never understand is why when the 'Hulk' returned to his human form his clothes miraculously repaired themselves. Amazing what they can do in Hollywood!
walkingthedog
I don't get angry about things that don't affect me. Neither FS or Nellie are part of my life, just think they're a waste of time. Takes a lot to make me get angry.
Postman Prat
Hi LC&DRDid you ever notice with 'Wonder Woman' when she was walking around, or just stood looking sexy, she was always wearing high heeled boots. When she was running she was wearing 'flaties' It took me a long time to notice - I didn't normally look that far down'WTD does go strange whenever FS is mentioned. His eyes glaze and he starts muttering, 'Stuff it. Mount it'
Postman Prat
Just got a copy of 'South and West from Waterloo' rrp £20, Amazon £12. Not bad, got some photos of Basingstoke shed, which is not shown very often. Also some strange steam locos that look like a long biscuit tin.LC&DR would like the phots of Southern region push/pull coaches.
LCDR
Good to see you have space for some appropriate reading material, (oddly enough I am re-reading the Oakwood Press book about the Tyneside electrics!).

Graskie
Do you reckon he also reacts like that to the mention of "Wonder Woman"?
walkingthedog
Definitely not.
LCDR
I preferred Daisy Duke.Three guesses as to the actress' real surname. :-)
Postman Prat
I reckon it was Catherine Bach. Has that any signifigance other than giving WTD a chance of going to composers (again)?Despite his protest I'm sure his reaction to Wonder Woman is the same as his reaction to FS.Hope you enjoyed the book about the electrics (typical - Southern voltage!!), I haven't read it, or even seen it.
