Chrissaf
Don't know if just me in isolation, but when I edit a post. The mauve highlight strip appears with the 'updating post' comment. It just then sits there and does nothing more, just saying 'updating post'..I don't click 'send' again as this will likely duplicate the reply. I wait a minute and then use the browser 'page back' button and then go back into the thread and find my edit has been successfully accepted without duplication..This has been happening all morning on different posts in different threads, so not just a 'one off' glitch. 96RAF
Ditto here Chris - I thought it was just my browser being slow as I am concurrently downloading torrents for 7 x complete TV series,Before anyone gets excited about this please note that my ISP has no limits or restrictions against such downloads like UK has put in place recently. walkingthedog
Same here. Like you said just click on something else then go back and it's done.
Fishmanoz
Strange, only happened to me once in about 5 posts just now. Not including this one. At least not on the original post but just did it on an edit of it. Both times.
2e0dtoeric
It was doing the same for me, yesterday. I assumed it was my pc playing games again. It has been acting daft ever since the latest W7 updated correction to an update.

RB51
Curses - now it is. No, I don't mean curses it is working, I mean curses it caught me out! R-
RB51
It wont save the edit - but if you leave the window and come back your edit is there. Blimey, did that make sense? I think it's time to put the kettle on. R-
Graskie
I've edited a few of my posts tonight, because even I am not perfect first time. They only appeared after I had saved them to the forum and then clicked refresh on my PC. Needs sorting.
96RAF
I used Edit a couple of times this morning and all seems well on IE11.
RB51
Safari is ..... not working correctly. Have to leave post and come back to see the edit. Can't upload directly on hitting green SAVE key, just get "updating post" below the text box. R-
96RAF
I used Edit a couple of times this morning and all seems well on IE11. Grr - now it isn't working.Frustrating but work-roundable for now.

Graskie
Have you all tried my suggestion above? It worked for me again today on Windows 7 64 bit IE11.
Fishmanoz
Yes, your suggestion works, and your comment is valid. It's annoying me to the extent I'm tending to do separate posts rather than edit, but only if I left something out, not if I have typos.
RB51
I seem to have overlooked / missed / ignored that fix of yours Graskie. That works fine for me on a Mac using Safari, but as you say not correct. R-
Chrissaf
Just occasionally when using the Blue reply button to an existing post. You write your reply in the white area below the yellow quote box. Then click reply and the page freezes. If you do a page refresh you end up with a duplicate post. If instead of refresh you use the browser back button and then go back into the thread, the post appears as expected..So in other words the Blue post reply is accepted but the forum page doesn't refresh to display it, in the same way that posting an edit doesn't auto refresh and display the edit. Using Firefox 37.0.2.Using the bottom Green reply process seems to work without issue.
96RAF
The purple bar with updating post seems to freeze Adam so I use the workaround of selecting the thread again from page top.

2e0dtoeric
Edit is still playing up, Having made the edit, and 'saved' it, the page gets 'stuck'.Exiting the page, and re-entering it shows the edit has been made, though.
96RAF
DittoAt the point of pressing Save the dialogue says updating page but at page top it says page successfully saved but the page does not refresh in IE11 to show these changes until you exit the page or press the curly refresh arrow in the browser address bar..
