    I think it is quite a convoluted process BB. Why not get brass nuts, bolts and washers. If the DIY shops don’t have them, I think they will, Amazon has them.

    Although visiting a local model shop is very nice, I am amazed at the number of posts on forums that say "the man at my local shop said......" and the advice given is absolute rubbish. 😮

    You should try and get some etched brass wind deflectors, they make a huge difference.

    Ah, you don’t get tabs on an iPad. I guess if you make lots of typing errors 6 days comes in useful. 😆 Trouble is if you alter something days later it could be too late. Somebody may have already taken your advice and regretted it.

    Chrissaf I think you should have stated Peco Streamline is completely different to Hornby. Peco setrack is the same as Hornby. Edit. Have you changed your post? Edit again. Yes you did. 😉

    X8030 is on the Ringfield service sheet.

    Looks to be two tender drive Gordons with different part number tyres. Pretty sure they are the same size though.

    According to the service sheet you need X8030. Available from Hornby. Where did you get X7125 from.

    The cab is probably meant to be separate from the boiler.

    Wasn’t being picky, well not too picky. It’s a good looking model.

    It would annoy me. I added some etched brass ones to my A3. I didn’t glue them but change the wire handrails and extended them through holes drilled in the smokebox.

    The handrail should be level and parallel the the boiler handrail. Top of the deflector should be horizontal, well the back part.
