  1. RH smoke deflector looks like it is drooping to the front or is it just the picture angle?
  2. I agree Jeremiah, I had a ViTrains 37 and always thought it was very well made. Ran beautifully.
  3. The Hornby set does appear occasionally. I know it's far from correct. http://www.hattons.co.uk/60234/Hornby_R3186_Trains_On_Film_Titfield_Thunderbolt_train_pack_with_14xx_lowmac_toad_brake_van_/StockDetail.aspx
  4. Yes Jacob I am aware of that which is why I said what I said. Almost all companies with connections to the toy trade are in trouble. I think perhaps Hornby will be able to afford to resurrect older products in the future but at present are really struggling just to keep their heads above water. Take a look at their share price.
  5. Hornby aren’t a car manufacturer/retailer. They like many toy companies from Lego to Toys R Us they are in not exactly in a position to spend hundreds of thousand of pounds restarting a product that has a niche market. I'm afraid there is little point in asking them to resurrect things from the past. Just be thankful they are still able, at the moment, to produce things for the future.
  6. I had a go on your layout at Ally Pally a few years ago PlanesTV, at least I think it was there. Very impressive.
  7. I wonder if the Live Steam product was popular. If it had been surely it would have continued. I know quite a lot of railway modellers but not one who purchased Live Steam. I thought it was a fantastic product but didn't buy it because I think it needs it’s own layout and I didn’t have the space.
  8. Only if the whole loco is gold plated and it has gold plated real coal and of course sound.
  9. It’s 6 pieces of fence, can’t believe it’s such a bargain. Think I’ll go for the other set as well.
  10. I have a lift out section but rarely use it. Still able to crawl under easily.
  11. Very tidy Rob but for how long. I usually manage about four days.
  12. I meant T E, no idea where T H came from. I actually put Lawrence of Arabia originally and changed it. Doh!
  13. I believe it was T H Lawrence's personal transport to use when his camel was unserviceable PP.
  14. I have a Bachmann 9F alongside my four Hornby versions and I can see no difference. They all run very well and look good.
  15. Thanks great pictures. I used to have a tender drive Evening Star when it first appeared.
  16. Why look at ebay, its an auction site and things will be dearer. Look at Rails of Sheffield etc. 😆 😆
  17. £83 not a lot by present standards. It is heavy and very detailed. Move veeery slowly. The latest Hornby CL08 is £140, that’s another 60 quid.
  18. Golden Valley Hobbies Janus 0-6-0 diesel. Oxford Rail produced it for Golden Rail.
  19. One of these. /media/tinymce_upload/373f846dee9ade2159c87b3c16465e50.JPG
