  1. Yes, I've ordered and cancelled numerous times because of the checkout. I have ordered the Scotsman set and the 3 era 3 locos though, just to make sure I don't miss out. I intend ordering the era 3 coaches and wagons, track packs, buildings etc when the checkout is sorted.
  2. Surely it isn't just me who is having trouble with the automated checkout. It doesn't apply the 15% discount when you click pay and if you order multiple items, it splits them into single orders and adds postage.
  3. TT9009 Platform Ramp and TT9008 Platform Straight. Surely the £12.99 tag is for a pair and not each.
  4. I've queried Hornby about their track packs since the set 1 shows a retail of 57 quid but the contents are about 22 quid. Hopefully all of these issues along with the checkout removing the club discount are just minor glitches.
  5. I've joined the club, pre-ordered the Scotsman set and the price was about £185, yet the conformation shows the retail of £215. I've queried Hornby about this and am waiting for a reply.
  6. I'm really excited about this, actually having proper scale models, as opposed to 4mm bodies on 3.5mm chassis etc. The price tags look good too. All I need to know is where are the Stanier Black 5's and the Jinty's?
  7. I hope they reissue this with the black name plate and make 5000 of them to try and stop the scalpers. I'd buy one.
  8. I hope they do a second release of the LNER (Promotional), Class W1 'Hush Hush', 4-6-4, 10000 - Era 3
  9. You're right about the driver, could be Joe Bloggs, but you gotta love the strobing red sensor. Worth the 50 quid for that unique feature alone.
  10. Pictures show this model with and without a driver figure. Do we know if it comes with Michael Knight?
  11. Well, after looking at the new releases there is a shed load of stuff I would like. The LMS renumbered Coronation coaches, The LNER Coronation coaches, Turbomotive, Prince of Wales, never mind the W1s still to be released. Thousands of pounds worth of stuff. Am I going to preorder any of them? Absolutely NOT. I'll wait for them to appear on auction sites for reasonable money or go without.
  12. Is it just me that has missed the fact that Hornby have upped their prices again? When the W1s were first announced I was expecting to pay about £180 with retailer discount. I've just noticed the new ones are £240 and the ones to be released later this year are £250+ I've just cancelled my pre-order here and will be cancelling at my local model shop ASAP.
  13. WD Models, Chesterfield? I live 1 minutes walk from Alan's shop, that is where my P2 is on order from along with 6 other locos, all at 200 quid plus. I always try to support my local retailer first !
  14. To be honest now, having seen a lot of reviews I am thinking have I made a 'boo boo' and cancel all of my orders. It's coming up to Xmas and this thing appears to be a TURKEY.
  15. 2 are already paid for (I collect £2 coins and give them to the shop when I have about £50 worth) and the silver one isn't out till at least June, so it's not too big a deal. Got the Prince of Wales and the Lord President in the middle of that lot too.
  16. Good luck with the tender, you are usually looking at £50 plus. I ended up getting the 'British Enterprises' one with the loco etc when I wanted one to recreate '4492 Dominion of New Zealand'.
  17. Now got 4 of these on order from my local model shop. The green, blue, silver and early BR ones. I really need to see a shrink.joy
  18. Does anyone know why the Lord President is listed as unavailable in the shop? Have they decided to not make it after all??
  19. I was just looking to see when the Class 67s were due for release in the Royal Claret livery R3950 and R3050A and they appear to have disappeared. Does any one know what has happened?
  20. These new magnetic couplings for nem pockets are been reviewed all over youtube, are they actually any good?
  21. Has anyone else had a problem with their 9F running number 92221. It is loco drive, but has pick ups in the tender too which once would have held the motor. The tender wheels were misaligned so when I took the tender apart to investigate, the metal just crumbled in my hand. Is this the metal rot I have heard about and will the loco drop to bits as well?
  22. I always try ebay and Peters Spares, along with Rails, Hattons etc. I really want this particular body though to replace one I've just bought, it's OK but not perfect. Need it to pull the 9 Golden Arrow super detail coaches.
  23. Does anyone have or know where I might be able to get a spare loco body for the Golden Arrow BR green Boscastle and possibly the detailing pack?
  24. What exactly does this do and how do you use it? Cheers.
  25. Thanks Sarah, bought 3 packets of the 202772112519, they arrived this morning, now just waiting on my bachmann 36-053 coupling to see if they are any good. Cheers.
