  1. Preiser do 3 different N gauge funeral scenes. Noch do a TT:120 wedding scene and some guests. Preiser will be doing an open and a closed coach with wedding couple and driver. Product search TT modellbahnshop-lippe.com
  2. 🤔I'd buy a limited edition 'Princess Leia', numbered 1138 in rebel alliance red.🤔
  3. Car tail light, not the double filament one, or a blinker bulb and a bit of wire as a circuit tester should find the fault cheaply, about 50p for a bulb if you don't already have a spare.
  4. I once saw a video where a OO wagon had really worn axle boxes due of years of use. I believe they cleaned and filled the box with superglue, let it harden then remade the box with a burring tool. Might have been a Barrie Davies video? He had some good advice on improving couplings too which can tranlate to TT.
  5. As I said, they'd be silly to issue the coaches tomorrow even if they had them, but maybe they are trying to clear warehouse space for for their imminent arrival🤔??
  6. I really can't see them issuing the coaches tomorrow while the 15% off is valid. They would be losing out on a great deal of money, plus they aren't going to be able to dispatch them till Tuesday at the earliest anyway. If they have them (hidden) in stock, I think next week will be when they appear.
  7. 57' Blood and Custards tomorrow??
  8. 'However I have given up on GWR and Southern for the time being!' I've given up on these too. But, only because I can't buy any yet.🤣
  9. Are there any dimensions listed for the non sound version of the N18 chip. I have a Arnold and a Roco TT:120 locos and the sound version chips are too big to fit into them.
  10. Oops, I forgot I also own 2 German kettles and some 6 wheeler coaches and some double decker coaches🤔
  11. I don't have a paid for membership and just had a play and it let me use the SAVE15 code and points. Is the code case sensitive?
  12. 'A cleaning pad for the soldering iron is a must too.' DO NOT under any circumstances use your trouser leg to clean the tip like I usually do with my paintbrushes after rinsing them in water😵‍💫
  13. I'm trying to stick to era 3, 4 and 5 simply to save some money, but I'd still need to buy a Blue Pullman HST or a Royal train using claret liveried mk3's
  14. You don't need to spend a fortune on tools, my latest soldering iron came from Lidl and it's perfectly OK, just bought some wire strippers too from there, they'll do for what I need. Should the time come you can always buy better (more expensive) stuff later.
  15. If you follow Rallymatt's advice about soldering you should be great. Always use separate flux even with prefluxed core solders. You can clean the track with a small block of Balsa wood, it's cheap, kinder to the track than a rubber, slightly absorbant for oils etc and it won't damage paintwork like IPA.
  16. Rallymatt: '9f is THE most important model Hornby need to get launched because I really want one (or two) 🤣' It's a kettle, I need all 3, no questions asked other than when can I have them. Never mind, hopefully my 3 Duchesses will arrive soon.
  17. Can I have an era 5 one please🙏
  18. Why do Hornby make it so difficult to find the new catalogue? The only way I could get it was from Dodge1965's link.
  19. @Rallymatt I agree that including the area needed for a layout is great, the only issue is the units. What is 3.25mx1.25m in real money???🤔🤣
  20. If you're sticking with DC, a good quality controller will improve the running of the locos no end and get rid of that annoying motor buzz. I'd go for a Gaugemaster, they have a lifetime guarantee even if bought second hand as long as any secuurity tabs are present. I'd go for a DS unit just in case you do decide to expand, you can get them for about a 100 quid if you search ebay.
  21. Yep, that's the one. I've got the track and a 6x4. I just need to build it.
  22. That looks to be the same layout I have used as 'inspiration' and have bought the trackwork for, except it's missing 2 sidings, one in the bottom centre area and 1 on the very bottom of the picture.
  23. I don't know what the forum rules are, but I for one would certainly want to know about bad/poor retailer experiences so we can avoid having to deal with them. Likewise it would be great for people with positve experiences to give a mention to the good retailers so we can support them.
  24. Even with HSTs, personally I would rather pay extra and have all of my locos powered. ie Two power cars and NO dummy car.
  25. That looks better, certainly easier to use and you have storage for 9 locos and/or rolling stock while still having space to try out those scenic skills.
