  1. I really like all these naval aircraft. Which kit is the Barracuda? Are they the Special Hobby versions? Also, where did the naval figures come from?
  2. Now at the risk of being cheeky, I think you should be familiar with this problem. It’s essentially the same as the colour of British WWI aircraft ! My suggestion- look at the many colour photographs on the Net and go with one you like. I had thought that Humbrol 163 was a relatively recent addition to the range. I saw it first with a call-out from one of the new Airfix Harriers. I had difficulty getting it but finally found it from Wonderland Models in Edinburgh. Hope this helps. I just thought I should add that while I have ‘163’, I still haven’t used it so don’t know how suitable it’s shade would be for options such as this.
  3. As John Redman says above, I have found that there is a spot which is easy to squeeze. I’ve found this on all the Humbrol paint bottles I have used. The difficulty is finding it.
  4. Ok. I think it may be of benefit to approach this the other way around if you need to do it in future. Xtradecal and Modeldecal are, I would say, the go to sites for RAF ‘support’ decals such as roundels and letters. Modeldecal set the standard but are sadly no longer in business, although several of their 100+ sheets are still available from Hannants. Xtradecal are still in business (so to speak) as the are part of Hannants, and they fill the gap left by Modeldecal. Other companies such as Model Alliance and Printscale also provide quality decals but generally for complete markings rather than the specialist roundels and letters. That said, I’ve just remembered I do have letters and roundels sheets from Kits World. Hope this helps.
  5. I’m amazed you think that about the Hannants site. The Xtradecal range is extensive with ALL the RAF roundel types available. X72043 has Type B for upper wings X72069 has Type C/C1 for fuselages & wings for post 1942 aircraft. I find the Hannants search engine one of the best.
