  1. @ mongaman I posted a brief report with a few pictures, which may give you some ideas, under the thread title "My attempt to fit TTS to Railroad Tornado"; back around late Feb 2019.
  2. JJ, One has vertical frame members on the inside of the layout, the other has inclined. There are other differences if you study the photos.
  3. JimyJames, May I suggest you take that video down before it comes to the attention of the police.
  4. @ RAF96, Sorry mate, the slower the speed the more time the carriage takes! A 60ft carriage travelling at 88ft/sec is going to go past in less than 1 second [60/88]. You must still be on a high from watching the cricket.
  5. In real life there is no physical reason why the arch could not have a wider span on the outside of the viaduct; it would have been accommodated by very slight adjustments in the brick courses. However, if you intend lining the underside of the arches with printed brick sheets you would have to accept some mismatch, same as if you went for stone courses. In the extreme you could cut several narrow strips of stone and probably get a very good resemblance, but given the number of arches you would need the patience of a Saint. The far easier option [to build] in my opinion is to have constant span arches as Chrissaf's sketch.
  6. @ RAF Is it DCC or DC, If the latter find out what address it is on......decoders are used in DCC so did you mean to type "former" not "latter"?
  7. Slowshunter, I'll give you my answer but wait and see if anyone confirms or contradicts: Look at the bottom part of the diagram Chrissaf posted R8074 and R643 to replace the penultimate R607 in your outer curve, then add R606 and the R607 you lifted from the existing curve to form the new extra outside curve. These will take you round pointing parallel where your straight track starts. You can then add more standard points to form your fiddle yard.
  8. Yes, indeed. It is articulated but each set of four flanged wheels are about 2.5" or 65mm so it does perform very well.
  9. Is "immence" American spelling? My box is 510mm long. The advert would appear to display incorrect data. My loco is about 300mm long and the tender 160mm
  10. RAF: don't believe eveything you read/see - almost a metre, that would be some monster! I've just measured my HO magnificant beast, just under 500mm long including the tender.
  11. Gordon-4, I am quite sure WTD will answer in his own time but did you not see his post at 08:34:29 on Sunday 13 Jan 2019?
  12. @ john205480, I think the TTS format was discussed in the DCC section quite some time back, it might be worth you searching. Alternatively I would suggest you raise a new thread in DCC asking your question.
  13. Gordon-4, You really need to get a better phone, that auto-correction is useless! ๐Ÿ˜€
  14. Gordon, Do you talk in a similar style to your written words?
  15. Hornby Intercity Mk 4 coach with Swallow livery to add to my DCC converted 125.
  16. Just to be different I will not post just text but actually give a date, my new guess is 16th August 2019.
  17. PP, I thought JJ was saying "how very British" about his own comment!
  18. As my workbench is also my office I've been a bit negligent over the last year but recently took up the tools again and finished off a couple of R344 Track Cleaning wagons, one had/media/tinymce_upload/7612650ebd18a8b9f1a6f6ae41e62abc.JPG a broken floor but both needed some pin point bearings adding to correct the sloppy running. I've also finished off fitting LED lights and a decoder to my Class 91 Intercity Swallow, picture of me giving it a test on my home built Rolling Road.
  19. HB & GNR Gordon, Go back to the first page where Admin explains that he set up this thread for JimyJames to post his videos.
  20. Caiptean, Are they aquisitions, or have you posted in the wrong thread?
  21. m duck, Plenty of room there for some complex track layouts, do you have a plan/layout in mind? I can't see a hinged section, how do you get 'inside'?
  22. A marketing Con, that has greatly disappointed me [and probably many others].
  23. Caiptean, And that's the wonder of this hobby; personally I wouldn't spot things like the dynomo belts [and I suspect many others wouldn't too] but you get your enjoyment from carrying out those modifications. I haven't run any locos for over a year but get great satisfaction from the model[layout] building and for example converting sets to run on DCC.
  24. Err, Vespa his second sentence ๐Ÿ˜† But yes I do appreciate he didn't actually say the Viaduct kit but that is the thread topic!
