Hi all, sorry but I've been away for a few days and missed this thread and my modelling but yes the engines are probably slightly over engineered and each part is handed so care must be taken not to mix up parts. And yes PMM I found that the port exhaust stub is slightly higher than the starboard side, and I also noted that the cowling torsion bars are also offset, so no it's not you getting things wrong (unless we both are)! And I too was over enthusiastic with my sanding of the original turret fairing. I am just finishing off my decals tonight ..............

Thanks Bish and Colin. The Stuka was built to join my Sea Gladiator N5520 'Faith' on a Dogfight Double stand somewhere over Malta during the summer of 1940!

I found this image in my gallery which I think with improved lighting conditions shows the slight variation in the camo colours I used ......

I weathered this kit and tried to give a dusty effect from the Italian airfields of Sicily. Did it work?

Or using the Humbrol range mix the Hu64 with Hu65 Light Blue to create the Light Blue/Grey equivalent to RLM76?

I bought this kit that included the Trop R-2 option (though I'm lead to believe it should have an enlarged tropical filter) but I wanted and built it as the B-2 using the Italian decal scheme. The kit was built and finished a couple of months ago so I won't give a long winded build thread and just show the completed model. As usual with Airfix new tool moulds, this is an excellent kit, which I cannot find fault!

The 1 piece bomb bay doors were removed ready for disecting, and a the retracted under-carriage parts were assembled and fitted. Well designed with dedicated parts for the retracted option!

A little more progress being a couple of wing decals, the horizontal tail surfaces secured in place and the exhaust collector rings sprayed. The engines were stained a little before final fitting.

I would suggest Hu64 for light aircraft grey, formally M13!

Thanks Ed, and they are indeed 'tac sausages'. When I started to use the airbrush and found a sudden need for masking I was advised to use White Tac as it doesn't leave a greasey residue that is present with Blue Tac. So far it seems to behave as expected!

Masking removed and a little paint scrapping to reveal the aluminium skin. More touching up the Klear and decaling should be next?

Airframe masked over the BS Dark Earth and the BS Dark Green applied.

Yes the mask set seems to be sold out at all suppliers as I was after another set. But when you get your kit Chris, you should enjoy it!!

Thanks Ed but it's an Eduard Mask set that was available just before the kit was. But everywhere is Sold Out now so must be popular. Only time for a coat of BS Dark Earth today and the 1 image!

Ask away. I assume you mean the stand slot I've cut in the lower wing and I've added a close up image. Airfix have the flashed over 2 holes for their stand in the 1 piece closed bomb bay doors, but as I will be removing that after painting I needed a stand slot, and I have plenty of the original Airfix transparent items for said use!
