  1. Mine arrived in New Zealand around the same time as the original poster’s loco, and it is now safely ensconced in my display cabinet. I don’t normally do this with locos but this one is something special!
  2. I have preordered the US Version. I bought then original US pack that was released early to mid 2010’s that included the Pullman car, but was alway disappointed it didn’t have the headlight. Then the gold plated one was announced and I have no interest in running a loco that’s gonna wear off its decoration. So this one is a definite must have for me. Not bothered about the price. If that’s what I have to pay then that’s what I have to pay. Simple really.
  3. Latest acquisition for me is a rake of Collett Blood and Custard Coaches. Bargain from Kernow.
  4. Hi all Does this need 2 decoders for the lighting since there is no electrical link through the train this release? Cheers
  5. I have just purchased a ViTrains V2018 Class 37 No.37416 in Royal Scotsman Livery from Hattons, and a Bachmann 32-780V Class 37 No.37248 Loch Arkaig in West Coast Railways Livery off eBay. The Bachmann loco was a Model Rail Ltd edition from I think 2009. Very happy with both.
  6. You could lay some A4 sheets of paper down under the track. That's what I did before I had a layout built. Ryan
  7. My 2017 Hornby Catalogue. Great to see it return. And a Bachmann Mk1 Pullman Parlour car from the 30-525 Shakespeare Express train pack.
  8. Great news about the TTS Sound decoders becoming available as a stand alone item.
  9. In your first post you said the set was R1073, now you are saying it is R1038. So which set is it? The R1073 was the set that came DCC Fitted Loco with the Select controller, the R1038 was the Non- DCC Fitted Loco with the HM2000 controller. The original set I believe had non DCC ready loco but that soon changed.
  10. To answer your original question, yes 35012 should be able to have a decoder plugged into to loco. However R1073 was definitely the DCC VSOE Set so it sounds as though you have been supplied with the incorrect loco. Hornby would not supply a dcc set with a non DCC fitted loco.
  11. If that is the Digital VSOE British Pullman set that comes with the Select controller then it should already be prefitted with a decoder.
  12. http://i328.photobucket.com/albums/l345/ryan_scott10/Mobile%20Uploads/image_zps313foxkw.jpeg These are my latest arrivals.
  13. R3202 BR A3 No.60103 Flying Scotsman is my latest purchase. /media/tinymce_upload/803e42c2359ad4af8172e1cbac0a249f.jpg
  14. My latest acquisition is R2705 Grand Central HST, which will have sound fitted in both power cars shortly. Now I just need the mk's to go with it haha
  15. Hi guys. R2339 is the first Mallard that was released when the new generation of models came along in 2004/2005. The only difference is that it was upgraded again to include the tender plug to enable sound to go in the Tender. This is still the Benchmark A4 available today.
