  1. When your payment fails on a pre order they email you with a link to update your card details, you get fourteen days before they cancel the order.
  2. When the hole in the track isn't located where I need it I simply snip the narrow section of the holder off and pin the remainder of the holder up against the track where I need it.
  3. I have two curved points on my layout, they are around two years old. I've had no problems with stalling or derailments. The Rocket being the smallest loco I've had go over them.
  4. Thanks for the tips, I think I'll try it on some older carriages first.
  5. How easy is it to get inside these, just wondering if the Mk 3 Mag Lighting would work as I would love to upgrade from my current LNER coaches which are the railroad variety but would like to have lighting.
  6. The 10% discount will be the club discount, when they changed the offer to extra reward points existing members kept the discount until their renewal date. I still get the discount as my membership renews towards the end of July.
  7. From Cleethorpes to York the leading loco was Class 47 number 47746 'Chris Fudge' and from York to Morpeth the train was lead by Black 5 number 44932.
  8. Couldn't you buy your TT stuff on ebay and have it shipped to Australia.
  9. Picked this West Coast Railways class 37 up on Ebay, it is the exact engine that took up the rear on my recent trip from Cleethorpes to Morpeth. The intention is to recreate the train, I expected to need to renumber/rename everything so it was a nice surprise to find this one with the correct number.
  10. Thanks guys I'll give that a go, probably tomorrow now and I'll check the power track also.
  11. I have finally set up DCC on my layout after two years using DC. Got the Western Master set out of storage, set up Railmaster and elink then managed to set up a couple of locos with no issues. Now for the APT with two NDM's, I installed standard Hornby decoders in the two NDM's and Tramfabriek function only decoders in the driving cars. Set the train back up with the two NDM's opposite to each other so one shows the double Arrow logo and the other InterCity APT on each side. Set them in motion and got lots of wheel spin but no movement. I then realised they were both trying to go in opposite directions so can someone tell me how I set them up to go in the same direction without having to turn them round which would mean the logos being incorrect.
  12. My layout is also laid using only Hornby track, total running length is just over 156ft with 25 points which are a mix of standard, express and even two of the much criticised curved points. The only problem so far was with one of the standard points which was loose and wouldn't hold its position when a train passed over it. Once the era 7 stock starts arriving I will be building a small TT layout which will also be built using Hornby track.
  13. I had the same email with my Martello and also the 150th anniversary Terrier pack cancelled. There is a seller on eBay selling the club exclusive for less than Hornby, he had three in stock the other day, given that members can only buy one it makes you wonder where he got them from.
  14. Does anyone know if this problem is only with radius three track included in the sets or is it repeated in radius 1,2,4 & 6 track
  15. Wow, just ran this for the first time, even at the smaller HO scale the Big Boy is still bigger than all my British OO models.
  16. Olivia's Trains as one R3913 in stock. https://oliviastrains.com/product/hornby-r3913-class-20-9-20905-gbrf-livery-2/ The Locoshed in Manchester also have two R3912's in stock.
  17. Nice find, I've travelled through Bare Lane Station many times on my way back from Heysham Port, the station building there is now a private house.
  18. Only £11.33 with your club discount, these models regularly sell for upwards of £25 on ebay.
  19. I have Hornby curved points in two locations on my layout and haven't had any problems with them, I've had everything from shunters right up to DMU's running over them without any derailments.
  20. Thanks Tim, it looks great, looking forward to running this impressive locomotive on my layout, I've been watching a few YouTube videos of it running with the fuel tender.
  21. I see the dcc ready Big Boy is now in stock, any idea when the dcc sound fitted model will arrive.
  22. @SteveC I did a comparison on AnyRail, radius 3 in TT fits just inside radius 1 in OO.
  23. @ColinB there are actually six versions which gives you more choice to buy the Flying Scotsman model that best represents the period you want to model. Your comment about more versions diluting the selling opportunity puzzles me as most people on here don't buy them to sell on and surely if it does as you say dilute the selling opportunity it will surely put off the scalpers who just want to make a quick profit on ebay which as to be a good thing.
  24. Hornby TT is now on AnyRail, the curve of the points is radius 6.
