  1. Couldn't miss that at that price. Thank you for the heads up. The last one I bought from them had a Railmaster CD included for the same price. Derekr
  2. If you can be 101% certain that the two systems will never electrically connect together then go ahead. But if they connect, could be a locomotive or coach derailing, then the Magic Smoke will be let out. Derekr.
  3. For 3mm Banana Plugs, try WWW.Handem.uk Derekr.
  4. I have been playing with the HM6010 on DCC and so far everything works as per the R8247 manual. Derekr.
  5. I can confirm that the HM6010 with the latest firmware can be programmed with a DCC system. My PowerCab did a poor job but my Sprog worked perfectly. Well done Hornby. Derekr
  6. In that case it's time to play. Is there a prize for the first person (idiot) to brick a HM6010? Derekr.
  7. Does that mean it can be programmed as well? Derekr.
  8. The MXULFA sets CV144 when it first reads a decoder, could this cause problems as CV144 in the HM7000 decoder is "source of motor control" setting. Derekr
  9. Thank you Rob, all now working again v1.6.3 solved it. Derekr.
  10. HM6010 firmware v1.10.0 still goes to sleep after one minute, but now i find this problem happens in all firmware versions back to 1.7.1 Do I take it it is a "feature"? Derekr.
  11. Updated to 1.10.0 still goes to slep after one minute. I went back to 1.7.1 it shuts off after one minute, this happened after updating to 1.8.2. This problem make my HM6010 un-useable so I have had to resort to probe and stud to keep my shunting plank working. Derekr.
  12. Bug? The HM6010 with firmware v1.8.2 switches itself off after 59 seconds, if you then goto the home screen and press resume everything comes back on for a further 59 seconds. Derekr
  13. Thank you for title change. Feature or bug? The HM6010 with firmware v1.8.2 switches itself off after 59 seconds, if you then goto the home screen and press resume everything comes back on for a further 59 seconds. iPhone 6 IOS 15.7.3 Derekr
  14. My appologies Rob it is v1.8.2. Fat fingers. Derekr Mod note - your title amended.
  15. Has anybody any information on this update? It installed without any problems so would be nice to know what has changed. Also updated my HM6000 to Firmware v1.11.1, took two attemps but appears to be OK. Again any information on this update? Derekr
  16. Just to close this thread, the cable was badly crimped at both ends. The centre pair pulled out of the plug when I pulled the outer insulation off. Anyway two new plugs crimped on and all working now. Derekr.
  17. Cable re-crimped, still only pins 2, 5 and 6 have continuity. Derekr.
  18. Cable to be used with a R8239 Booster. If I need pins 1 and 6 to have continuity then the cable needs re-crimping. What ever happend to "Quality Control" Thanks Rob, Derekr
  19. Hi all, Just bought a new R8236 cable and it does not work. Put on my RJ45/RJ11 Cable Tester and I only have continuity on pins 2, 5 and 6. Does this cable need continuity on all 6 pins? I guess it does but just confirming before I either re-crimp it or replace both plugs. Derekr.
  20. Looks like Hornby have pulled the 1.7.1 update. Derekr.
  21. You can also buy adaptors from 5.5 x 2.1mm to 6.3 x 3mm. It's a bit of a lashup but it works. Derekr.
  22. Thank you Rob will do. The point designeted ports go to sleep as well. Derekr
  23. iPhone 6s 15.4.1 software version app inactivity Disabled Yes ports setup correctly Using the app did not make any diference the ports still switched off after a minute. I will connect everything to my shunting plank today and check the points operation. Derekr
  24. i do not know if this is a feature or a bug. Connect a light to one port and a signal to another port. Switch on light and signal. Wait about one minute and both will switch off. Go to the home screen and tap "Resume Operation Control" The light and signal will both resume oreration for another minute. Derekr.
