Hi Nick, The GB made models were pre 2000 - so your Thomas is over 20 years old. The controller is fine for powering one normal loco. If Thomas is the only thing on your track and struggles to move, then based on what you've said, the problem is the loco. Tim

On the instruction sheet: https://support.rivarossi.com/hc/en-gb/articles/360016433700 The decoder is shown sitting on top of the circuit and into the front smokebox. As a guess - would a sugar cube fit above the motor drive train immediately behind the circuit board? Tim

Hi, I'm not sure on the decoder you mention, and this is for a different livery variant of the X73500... but taking those two things into account. Morning, I'll try and cover both queries in one post: E10200, it is looking like Spring next year - it has a production slot and we're just waiting for the ETR and a couple of other high speed trains to complete ahead of it. There is no Marklin AC version planned, so it will need conversion by a local expert. E10201 - we produce Service Sheets now in advance of production so the factory can manufacture spare parts at the same time. This service sheet is for a future version. The Comsa 269 looks great - the new photos really show how nice the livery looks. We don't have a firm production date for the RENFE 596 yet, so I'd grab the Comsa 269 for your Christmas present.
