I noticed an interesting article on the Talgo website in Spain. They and RENFE are recovering the last existing Talgo III train set with a view to restoring it and putting it into operation. The restoration will allow it to be used as a historic train on the line of the Madrilenian Tren de la Fresa or the Catalán Talgo. These were developed from an idea we had back in 2018 to bring to the market a range of models which are newly tooled, with good engineering, fine moulded detailing and highly detailed paint and print finish. The key difference to our normal range being the price - within the new products for each of our main markets, the model would offer excellent value for the level of finish you were purchasing. Hi Rui, The RENFE 596 is part of the new, more reasonably priced Hobby range - it will come DC only, with a socket ready for people to upgrade if they wish. Tim

Hi They are mainly ESU - and pretty much always have been. Occasionally another brand might be used because it's more suitable - space in a model perhaps. The small Spanish 0-6-0 being an example, that takes a CT brand decoder. TTS is 8 pin from memory? So with International mainly being 21 pin it's not an easy option currently. Tim

Hi There's no problem with Electrotren branded products - we manufacture the International range as a single group so the brands each month vary. Our last Spanish models were shipped in December. Don't forget this is the quiet time of year for releases as it's after the Christmas and Chinese New Year holidays. Lastly, for the two locos you mention - you've asked a few times before and nothing has changed since then, both are still in the production plan. Tim
