  1. Morning All, With many model shops still closed across Europe, I thought posting showing the new items being released at the end of May might be helpful. There's quite a nice variety - under most of our brands. You can order them from any stockists, or from our website - subject to stock remaining available. Some popular items are fully sold out on pre-orders. 2. I can imagine the surprise when the points broke under the train! There are some nice Silberling coaches in the Rivarossi tooling bank, I did look at reproducing the British Military train, obviously the interiors would have been wrong, and I think from memory one of the coach exteriors could not be offered.
  3. The BBC have just shared a Clip of the Day which features a ride on the former British Military Train from West Germany, across East Germany and into Berlin. https://www.facebook.com/BBCArchive/videos/449031052136597 I've always been fascinated by this operation and spent many hours researching the Military trains in the Royal Logistics Museum. It inspired the design team to produce the Coach pack for modellers in N scale under our Arnold brand: https://www.hornby.com/uk-en/arnold-n-1-160-rct-4-unit-pack-coaches-blue-beige-livery-the-berliner-period-iv.html Tim
  4. Hi Rob, There are a few comments in the 2020 new items posting, but nothing informative just asking repeats of the questions you've now captured baove. https://www.hornby.com/uk-en/forum/hornby-intlelectrotren-new-items-2020/?p=1 Tim
  5. Hi Bill, If you check the two posts you made earlier in January, and my replies (which you mention here) you'll see I did cover what is to be available first. We're aiming for Q3 this year, and there will be info posted on our website and issued to retailers. I think running three topics on MKD kits and new items is going to get very confussing! Perhaps we should stick to just the one? Tim
  6. I remeber selling it around 2000 - it had Rovex Ltd on the packaging, so it was a slow seller! It was discontinued around that time.... Tim
  7. Hi Sorry for the delay, the Italian team have finished all the terms and marketing material - they gave me a lovely cloth shopping bag to promote the club! We just need to find time to get the page changed on the site, there's a bit of a backlog following all the new item launches at the start of January! Bear with us... Tim
  8. Hi Rew, I don't remember any Belgian models since the business was acquired in 2004. Of course the Thalys is back this year. Anything made in the old factory which has not been produced since Hornby bought the companies is unlikely to be returning. Afraid the tooling for many items were not stored carefully and proved impossible to re-introduce. On the positive side, you are getting new tooling for SNCB - the Class 81 steam loco (Jouef - HJ2403) Tim
  9. Hi, I would suggest a quick call or email to our office in Tacoma. They handed the U-Boat model and have lots of spare parts in their warehouse. Hopefuly including the one you need. For speed, I'd check the leaflet in the box for which part number you need to ask for. Train Support: TechSupport@hornby.us 1.877.358.6405 x114
  10. Hi Bill, I've answered that point under the similar post you made elsewhere. They'll be published once they are fully ready, but do appear in the price list to solicit early pre-orders from dealers and publicise their return.
  11. Also, treat any PDFs with caution, the full catalogue has not been created in a PDF format by us, but I am aware someone leaked a draft which was saved in PDF for various experts who work with us to see and check for errors. You are quite probably looking at something before it's final polish. I recommend buying the full catalogue.
  12. Hi, They are work in progress. We have the artwork and prices from the factory but that was received too late to pop into the full catalogue. Once we have a delviery date and final produciton models, we will produce a leaflet. 13. Hi Bill, You could be surprised - we made other British outline liveries, or liveries of Continental rolling stock which travelled into the UK through the Tunnel, Ferries or ports from 2008-2011 and they all sold out.
  14. Sorry for the delay in announcing the Hornby International range, the website had so many visitors yesterday looking at the UK brand announcements we decided to hold off the next ranges until this morning. Today we will put up: All Hornby Internatinal, including the return of MKD. Bassett-Lowke Hornby 100 Celebration range (detailed product pages)
  15. Hi As the comapny listed on the Hornby website is the Distributor for that region, all retail shops would only be known by them. According to their website these are the Namibian Hornby stockists: http://www.redipak.co.za/dealer-locator/namibia.html I'd suggest rinigng each (there are 3) and asking what other brands they sell.
  16. Hi Charlie, That's quite an old model and predates the Hornby.com online list, about 2006 I think. From memory it's similar to this Talgo service sheet: https://www.hornby.com/uk-en/downloads/view/index/cat/46/?p=9 Search for Electrotren 3251 K will give you a couple of hits for images of the product. There have never been paper price lists produced from Electrotren, only spreadsheets issued to dealers, so whilst you can problably trade down prices using the code number there won't be a paper record to match the product to.
  17. Afternoon Twonrover, and thanks for your interest in the AC variants from Electrotren. There are still a number of AC models in the catalogue and in stock, but overall sales of them generally means they are less and less viable to make for the Spanish market, hence in 2016 a decision was taken to focus on DC and DCC Sound fitted variants. The 2019 catalogue is available to order form our website, and from any Hornby dealer (althought most may have to order it specially for you if they don't hold Continental rolling stock). https://www.hornby.com/uk-en/shop/brands/electrotren-h0-1-87/electrotren-new-for-2019/international-brands-catalogue-spring-summer-2019.html You are right in that in the UK the knowledge of the European bands had dropped, until the changes under the new management in October 2017. Personally I had been selling the Electrotren range since 2005. We had a display of International products on display at Warley, and I have been told it was also on display at Ally paly (althought I was not there to confirm). Whilst we can't always field an expecrt for every area of our hobby at shows we do try to ensure the majority of people will speak to someone knowledgable at the events. Hope this helps Tim
  18. Just to further expand on this point. Whilst they are different and replacements to change them over are avialable. I've always found on my daughters layout that the Hornby 'hook' does couple up to the European couplers without a problem. It's just not an elegant solution!
