  1. I like to know what is coming. I would hate to kit bash a cherished model, only tp find, 2 years down the line, that my sought after model was available.
  2. Try a search on this forum, about 2 years ago morairamike fitted a CD drive motor kit. Ignore this, different motor
  3. Another vote for the Combi, apart from smooth loco operation, adequate power output and the loco does not annoyingly buzz, like they do with some other controllers
  4. Hi Alberto, thank you for the video, I think the F7 is a GREAT loco, I have one in Santa Fe passenger warbonnet livery, my favourite. I don't know if it's true, but I read somewhere that when it was announced to top brass, seated in a large room, it made a huge impression... when it was driven in through the wall.
  5. Programmable logic controller ? No, wouldn't know one if I saw one
  6. Gaugemaster supply a 20v controller, listed in their G Scale catalogue.
  7. Have a look at the huge Gaugemaster controller range, all guaranteed for life. If you are not sure of what you see on their web site, they are helpful on the phone, If you choose one of their single controllers, you can always add another for additional circuits. You want additional circuits.... they do controllers for FOUR tracks
  8. Does it really mean 13ft 9inches ?.... NO it doesn't ! This is not a measure of the height, it is a measure of the clearance, which has strict rules for measurement, including..... On a horizontal road, the height is measured accurately, and rounded down to the nearest 3 inches, ANOTHER 3 inches is then deducted. This is the CLEARANCE height displayed on the bridge. On a bridge with an incline approach there are more complicated rules, because an approaching/leaving vehicle roof will be at an increased height, measurements will vary depending on the gradient and it's proximity to the bridge .
  9. There is a powered turntable on on THAME BAY. facebook £15 with controller
  10. And Hornby don't do this? Am I misremembering the Titfield Thunderbolt fiasco?
  11. Hornby are infamous for lack of attention, or don't care. Mediterranean Ship Containers (MSC) are advertised MCS ! I think it is their APT advertised in Mirror image, so all the front details are transposed . Class66 pictures with written descriptions of different locos, these are copied and pasted by retailers, so the don't care attitude is sent round the world. Box contents incorrectly described on box. Whistles fitted upside down, The Avalon building bungalow box contents described as including a locomotive, HST couplers at different height I have given up emailing them.....If anybody asks what trains I have, I only admit to Lehmann.
  12. In a recent World of Hornby , a Hornby designer was shown climbing onto a locomotive in front of the smoke box, I hope he wasn't making notes of the commentary which described him as being on the footplate.
  13. If you need help with traction, DCC Concepts supply sets of magnets for locos, and a sort of metal underlay called PowerBase, and TODAY ONLY Rails of Sheffield are selling at 35% discount
