  1. All track including points are Hornby set track, it’s my first layout. The track is a closed loops, (Essentially all 2 Trakmat layouts Put together)
  2. I am building layout which I can switch between Dcc and DC (NOT RUN AT THE SAME TIME) But I was wondering how to wire points with point motors for switching between the two?
  3. I want to delete my Hornby website Account once ive done getting all the answers I need, but I can’t find the option to do so.
  4. I’m thinking of using Loconet on my layout but I want to know does it support Hornby, I have Hornby Trains and decoders but my DCC controller is not Hornby.
  5. I am building modular Baseboard so I can make a long but portable layout but I want to ask if anyone can tell me some advice on how to build for Cheap, I’m not spending 100£+ on Building baseboard
  6. It is not by any wall and has no Holes in the middle. It's just a plain square.
  7. MTH Trains INC a well known Manufacture in the United states founded in 1980 will cease to exist in May! The owner of the company is to Retire so the company and factory will Close, so why doesn't he sell his Tooling to other Manufactures as that happen when Model Power went out of business as their tooling is now owned by Lionel. It seems strange just to shut it down like this but many Manufactures have died like this its sad as they did some very good models! Maybe as Hornby has a USA division it could buy some of MTH Tooling so some of the models could be made by Hornby!
  8. Triang Hornby did a Railway Children set in 1972 it was with a Jinty, two coaches and station with track! So what other locos from the movie do you think Hornby should do as next year will be fifty years since this train set was released'
  9. Triang and Hornby have made two F Class Australian Shunters the first was Triang in Victorian Blue in the sixties, Hornby made the New South Wales Maroon in 1977 they are now very rare! Roco did one but was tiny and couldnt be used with the ones which were done by Triang and Hornby so maybe a new continental version so lets bring this Shunter back!
  10. Yes they can be distorted but i have them easily couple onto Hornby Dublo and Continental stock with European Couplings they are great to join these together!
  11. Trackmaster which was owned by Pyramid Toys Ltd was a short lived manufacturer, taken over by Lines Brothers in the late fifties! The couplings used on their wagons are strange, as you can use a Trackmaster wagon to link up a train of Hornby Dublo wagons and Continental stock with European couplings. So has anybody else used this useful fifties rolling stock? ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Moderator message. Colin, your post above was originally posted in ALL capitals and bold and italics all thrown in together. I have just spent 5 minutes retyping it into an acceptable form for this forum as an example of what is required. Moderators and also normal members have consistently and historically requested that you refrain from writing your posts in ALL BOLD CAPITALS. In forum speak it is considered extreme shouting and actually makes the content of your posts more difficult to read. Tonight you posted 3 sequential image posts [example of one below] that were all rejected for the reason explained above. If you want your posts and images to continue to appear on this forum, then please comply with the forum wishes and write your post text as per the rewritten example version of your post above. Using predominantly 'Lower Case' text which is not ALL bold or ALL capitals OR even worse ALL Bold & All Capitals. This also extends to your thread titles which has also been changed in this thread from ALL CAPITALS.
  12. Yes it looks great but a new Red Hornby London Transport Pannier would be great as Bachmann has not done a Red one and Dapol did it in N and O Gauge!
  13. On the Norfolk Norfolk Railway they had L10 the loco Hornby made and its Red like the Model so it is correct ok
  14. You do a complete new loco as the Bachmann one is Maroon and they never did the Red one as Dapol did in N and O gauge so lets have a new RED one ok Hornby as the old one is not what im saying should be remade as i have the Triang one!
  15. Hornby should do a new London Transport Pannier Tank Loco as it was 1977 since it was last done and a new one would be nice as L10 has operated on various preserved lines so lets have a new one OK!
  16. I’m building my Son a 10x6 model railway layout, but we both want it to be modern image Layout with a station and heritage railway yard, does anyone have ideas for a track plan?
  17. Theres loads of Analog starter sets by Hornby but Only One Digital starter set, I would love to see more Digital Trainsets in The range because It will add choice to people who want DCC, maybe a Pendolino Starter set in DCC.
  18. It cost about the same as a Standard DC controller and could control more trains so I would say go for it, i Won’t because I use DCC though
  19. Sorry for late the reply I was busy, I will just wait, but I gave up on pre ordering limited editions because Hornby just cancels pre orders and it was sold out before I could get it
  20. i was really exited for the 2021 Releases because I model scottish as well as Midland railways, I was looking forward to the Class 153 in the Scotrail highland livery... until I saw the expected release date AUGUST! Thats close to End of year most of the 2021 range is coming towards The end of 2021 and knowin hornby it won’t release on time so why is it called 2021 releases? im still waiting for the Avanti pendolino which was announced janura 2020 and I’m STILL WAITING What on earth is going on.
