  3. I have a live steam A4 and I have a lot of track, but I also use this track for standard Hornby trains, and I found out the residue Ruins tractib tires, and I have a few models with them. ☹️ I was wondering how I clean this residue of the rails, does rubbing alcohol work?

I am building a modern image WCML layout and I was have bought code 100 concrete Sleeper points but I found the stupidly enough, the Manufactuer doesn’t produc code 100 concrete sleeper points to go with the code 100 concrete flex track, i have Hornby wooden sleeper points but it doesn’t look good with concrete sleepe track, I was wondering if anyone has a soulution?.
  7. Im building a Hornby/Marklin mixed layout and I want to ask how would I wire my track to switch between Hornby Digital DC, and Marklin AC. (Not at the sametime of course!) Using Peco Contact studs and Code 100 track. If it's not possible then how do I convert an DC locomotive to Marklin AC.
  8. I have Sizable 00 Guage Hornby Collection, and Was planning to build a UK layout, but recently a friend gave me a Joblot of HO scale Roco and Trix product's so I was wondering if there's anyway to make a layout with both British and European scenery.

  10. I have order a Super detail locomotive of eBay and i want to disinfect the body of the locomotive as being used means it's been touched a lot, how would I do this without ruining the body and paint and details?.

  14. Hi, i hope someone can help. I have a Castle Class loco and I beleive the motor to be an EDL20 Ringfield motor. I have serviced the motor and it seems to run fine when unconnected to the chasis gear wheel. The chasis gear and wheels are free when unconnected. As soon as I try to fit the two together everything seizes up ( even just holding the motor hand tight ) The locating dowel pins are OK. I would think almost certainly its the gears not engaging properly but I cannot see what is causing it. Getting frustrated!!

  16. I'm Wiring a layout to be able to switch between analogue and DCC, but can someone tell me how to Wire point motor's for both DC and DCC operations.
  17. I want to convert Hornby track to Concrete sleeper, I know peco produce Ready to lay Concrete sleeper track, but I enjoy building the layout and want to slow down the process, Concrete sleepers have a different shape so is there more to it then just Painting the sleepers. 😀

I know the Hornby flying scotsman instructions say that if you run it the Gold will wear which is probably true, but does anyone here run there's, if so please tell me how does the gold on there's react. If it wears down, how fast does it wear down. I need a Answer Urgently because I want to gets for a gift for someone.
