  1. I'm still waiting for any info of them willing to take my money for the scotsman set. Nothing. Beginning to think I wont have it before Christmas
  2. Hornby flexi track will be available in phase 4. Hope this helps. Frey
  3. To be honest I'm too bothered when any of my pre orders arrive and I have quite a substantial list but I received this news letter today so thought I would share it.
  4. OK I'm going to make some enemies with this reply. This has nothing to do with quality control I'm sick and tired and fed up of all the Hornby bashing going on in this forum and other sites on Google. If anything this is showing that even at the 11th hour their willingness to step in and get it correct is paramount. If anything this is quality control at its best. Please tone down on The naff comments, and no I'm not a hornby fan boy.
  5. Oh ok, thank you for letting me know. Frey
  6. The link is showing that the video is private, if this isn't the case are Hornby aware ?
  7. My Pleasure also if you look at this picture below you will see 2 little curved arms that hang under the couplers, these can lift in the upward motion so to uncouple the couplers. For example when you pass over the uncoupler ramp that Hornby sell in the track section this will lift the couplers so you can then move forward with the locomotive and leave rolling stock in place. Hope this helps.
  8. Ok just my 2 penny’s but if this isn’t close I’m not sure what is. This is way more realistic than my oo stock.
  9. All diesels have working lights except the 08. Hope this helps. Frey
  10. Apart from the 08 locomotive which is 3 pole all of Hornby’s Diesels use 5 pole motors and the steam locomotives use 3 pole. I have had no issues using 3 pole motors and my tiniest Arnold TT locomotive pictured below is a 3 pole and never had any issues and she’s a smooth quiet runner. Hope this helps. Frey
  11. APT Class 370 sounds great. What about these sexy girls.

@Max_555_755 These tender locomotives do not have tender drive or traction tires I handled these at kings cross with Simon K. The motors are in the body so no point in holding off on a order.
  13. Camera angle. It was difficult through acrylic plus light from the ceiling causing reflections
  14. @P-Henny I’m a photographer and aware of this. I was uploading these pictures in a pub so let’s say my brain wasn’t where it should have been but just wanted the pictures on the forum so everybody could see the layout and locomotives. 😳
  15. @rman From what I have seen at the Hornby stand TT tender Locomotives are the same set up as OO so metal bar and screws plus electrical pick up vis a small white plug
  16. A slip for the track system would be nice along with some semi flexible track at meter lengths and something I know Hornby would never make but a double crossover grinning
  17. Just noticed something in the Hard copy catalogue that I picked up from Kings Cross over the weekend I pre ordered the Eastener train set but I can see 2 more train sets coming through my front door next year
  18. To view all the pictures please go back to page one, sorry about uploading all the pictures separately but when I did more than 2 or 3 pics at a time the site kept freezing..
  19. These steam locomotives have the motor in the bodies, Ive handled them with Simon at Kings Cross and they have considerable weight considering there size,They have a couple of wires going from the body to the tender for decoder plus a small white plug in the base of the tender for the electrical connection. Hope this helps. Frey
  20. Finally Simon K and myself standing in front of the Hornby display at Kings Cross. I have to say Simon is one of the loveliest people I have met for a long time he has a real passion for not only Hornby but model railways in general and I never felt like he had had enough of talking to me and even invited my behind the counter so we could talk face to face. Absolutely lovely chap.
